I loved playing this game. Like the rest of the comments already said, i would love a way to donate to a sequel of this. This is one of my favorite RPG's

Firebolt is also possible with the "Mission Impossible". The key is to keep moving slowly up or slowly down. If getting close to the edge, then look for an opening to quickly whip through. Also, if you go fast enough, there is about a 50% chance the lasers won't hit you. Save overdrive in case you get cornered. This one is WAY easier with maxed offense (like I had) as you will have to face it basically head on (as opposed to Earthwall).

BTW, my "Mission Impossible" challenge (extreme mode, only shields for 1 laser) IS actually possible for Earthwall. The trick there I found was to use bombs and be more right when it is below you and then just skillfully dodge when it moves close to the top. Having strong offense/agility helps (ironically I did it with 0 agility boost (so bombs were min damage), so it is possible even without those boosts).

If anyone wants ridiculous amounts of money, take insurance with max health mods & moolah mods (doesn't even matter if you have a defense build; my build is 0% defense). I am making about 10x the amount I make from the bosses in insurance (and I am doing NG+ every time I reach Iblis, so I have max boss drops too).

If anyone else gets super-annoyed at enemies spawning on top of them while in the sweet spot for the drone, use charge as that will kill them before they hit you if at a decent level/charge.

Personal favorite strategy (only use if you want a challenge): 50% Offense, 100% Intel/Luck. No mods in any defense/shield/regen (so basically any attack will hurt or kill you); instead, max out exp/moola. Very fast leveling & money gain, and it turns the game into more of a "bullet hell" experience. May need some shields/HP for bosses though ;)

FYI, if anyone was curious, Insurance is based on the AMOUNT of health remaining, not the percent. (I was curious, so I tested it both ways.)

Final update to my Mission Impossible challenge (Extreme mode, Only shields for 1 laser, no regen mods): Finally beat all normal levels doing it. I have cheated each time for the boss levels. Hardest level by far was world 3 Ancient Ruins (Monolith). The sheer amount of lasers, along with the sword made that one a total pain to beat with only hitting one laser (unless shields had reset). To anyone who goes after the true bosses with this setup, GOOD LUCK! :D

Update to my MI challenge: Am in world 3, all in extreme mode. For both Earthwall & Firebolt, I did have to increase the shields, but besides those two levels, I have done all others with only 20 shield mods. One of the hardest aspects is that ANY collision or ANY large shot is OHKO. Am having a lot of problems with W3 City Master due to the sheer number of large shots and the giant orb (also OHKO). Monolith is also an issue with the number of lasers.

I upvoted Xdanond in 2011. I'm still here, in 2017, playing Starwish. I mean...sure, I would love a sequel, but if that never happens; well, I'm still playing the original. That says something ;)

It has been about a year since I last spoke to xdanond about Starwish. At the time he still had plans to make a sequel, though he was working on other projects as well and a sequel was low on the priority list. However, he was kind enough to mention that there was already scriptwriting being done, and was kind enough to send concept art as well, so there is still hope for a sequel.

its been almost 5 years now that i played this, i just beat the mass effect trilogy, and it reminded me of another great space adventure. i want to relive this game again and see if i still think the same as i did when i was 13, and i still love this game. if there were ever to be a squeal, i, and many others would gladly pay as much as it would require. to play agiain

It's nearly four years since I last played this game. I finished it but I wasn't able to get the third badge until now. This game still has the best story I've ever seen. It gives me a new perspective in life. No matter how realistic and modern new games get, this will still be my favorite.

Question: How did the fed drones get to the very important place where the main plot resides? I mean, it could be the drones from the planet, but still.

I am a 30 YO man and I almost cried at the end. From a goddamn flash game. Its 5/5, its superb, the story... so good. You should go and write a book right now Mr Developer!

Two or three years since I last played this, I never got the special ending, that is about to change. I have to admit that playing this game will make me miss the developer even more, I hope he returns someday, Starwish is a rare kind of game

I decided to revisit this game recently and I can say without a doubt that this game has withstood the test of time. Even by today's standards the storytelling in this game is absolutely brilliant, the character development is done so well and the endings didn't fail at making you feel so many emotions. I would still love to see a sequel although the chances of that happening look bleak at the moment. I will always hold a spot in my heart for this game. Thanks for the brilliant memories.

What the hell, Deadeye?

I wonder if it's even possible to win the very first mission. If you notice when you shoot the boss ship, it's health does indeed go down ever so slightly. Could someone with enough Bullet Hell experience take a crack at seeing what happens if you deplete it's health bar? Something interesting might happen, who knows? Or, you know, not.
