I don't remember if I went for the secret ending 4 years ago but, heck, I re-did it with pleasure. I'm just slightly sad I couldn't vote for this one.

AndrieiK1, you have to unlock the various endings by having every conversation with that character. If you pay really close attention to Johnny, you can figure out what's required, but the requirements are also all on the Starwish website.

There are mouse based controls, snekmint, just start a level and click the "Mouse: Off" button to turn it from off to on.

Awesome game, 5/5. Although once you get to the final world it gets really hard to beat the levels. The storyline is awesome though.

I think in light of KILLING WALL GLITCH, I feel the need to share the following: If you see a "Mission Failed" message, DO NOT END THE LEVEL. Why? If you reload the page without returning to the base, the death flag will not be raised, and you will still be capable of getting that ending and that in-game achievement of zero deaths. On a side note, consider maxing shield regen and putting the rest into shields - you will be able to tank pretty much everything but the mega beam of Iblis.

There seems to be a glitch in one of the levels. After grinding on hard difficulty, I made it to the end of Hidden Ruins... only to fall through what looked like solid pillars. Others in the forum have experienced something similar. The game autosaves, so if you die due to glitch you'll have to start all over for the special ending.

Is this the second BOTD this month for the game? That's awesome; this game well deserves to be highlighted on a regular basis. Certainly much more than some of the games that are constantly pushed

This game needs an impossible badge for the special ending. Not that it's impossible, but it requires a lot of effort.

In the later levels, my ship keeps getting stuck in the walls, causing me to die. It is preventing me from getting to the ends of Forbidden City and Remains of Lucerna.

Maybe add a hotkey for turning off the mouse and/or pausing? It's impossible to pause OR turn the mouse off mid-fight without moving your ship.

Oh. It's BotD. My heart. This is my baby right here. Played it 2 years ago and it is still one of my ultimate favourites. I... I might replay the whole beautiful thing again.

Just completed the game, and i found out why the story is...deep, thoughtful and heartbreaking. I hope the sequel is out. Kudos to dev and the team who made this! Along with other best games of 2011!

Just a time guideline if you want all of the badges. If you read the dialog, it will probably take you a few hours to get the 2nd badge. I'm still working on the 3rd.

I played this game along time ago, and now saw it's the BotD so I just had to relive this masterpiece of a flash game... Seriously one of the best games on this site. Do yourself a favor and play this game when you have a lot of free time and also don't skip any of the cut scenes! Just look at all the comments wishing for a sequel... when a game touches your soul, either through story telling, gameplay, music, or all of the above it truly deserves to be a work of art. And this is whole heartily a work of art.

Someone really should record the order of cafe for true ending... because I'm dumb. :( Srs, though, I've tried it 6 times with the walkthrough and I still haven't done it. :D Alternatively, if you get all the character-specific endings, you can access the true ending in the extras.

I feel bad that I have only come across this game on Kong after so many years of gaming. This is easily one of the best flash games I have played. Somewhat reminds me of Sony and other great flash games out there. I haven't even finished the game yet but man it just feels great already. Anyone who just skips the dialogues are missing out big time. 5/5!!!

Came for the badge, stayed non-stop until the end of the game for the sublime storytelling and characters - thanks so much for this amazing game xdanond

Now and again, after all these years, I still close my eyes and play 'Incarnadine' from the OST when I need some escapism, to soothe me, and to drown out aggravating noises. It takes me back to the feel of this game, and even without this game as context it's an incredibly beautiful piece of music. I already commented on the game itself in 2011, but I just wanted to add the appreciation I still have for it and the joy/bittersweet sadness it brings. Wishing you all the best with the future, whatever it may be and bring.
