Under rating threshold (show) I would LOVE to make a sequel, but large games like this are a difficult sell. If you would like a sequel as well, please vote! Thank you so much!

Under rating threshold (show) Dear xdanond If you made a kickstarter for Starwish 2, I guarantee you would far exceed your set goal. A wonderfully crafted story that had me tearing up, particularly the hard as hell to get Perfect "No Wish" option at the end. If you say you need resources to make another, just say the word and we of the community will back you up. With hope, all your fans.

Under rating threshold (show) Definitely a sequel, xdamond. I'm really impressed with the story line and game play. Great job. Must have taken some time to complete! The English is great as well. Props. 5/5 :D Addicting as ever. Even the music is nice. Thanks for making a good game and uploading it to Kong. If only more games were this good there wouldn't be so many shitty games. :P

Under rating threshold (show) I decided to revisit this game recently and I can say without a doubt that this game has withstood the test of time. Even by today's standards the storytelling in this game is absolutely brilliant, the character development is done so well and the endings didn't fail at making you feel so many emotions. I would still love to see a sequel although the chances of that happening look bleak at the moment. I will always hold a spot in my heart for this game. Thanks for the brilliant memories.

Under rating threshold (show) A lot of people have forgotten what makes a game great. Vibrant characters, dialogue that doesn't want to make you cringe from reading it, and of course a sense of freedom. Honestly, the heart of a good game is good writing which this game has in spades. I applaud your efforts sir, well done 5/5.

Under rating threshold (show) I've found that a good game gives me a feeling that I've just finished a good book when I beat it. This is one such game. The characters were brilliantly done and complex, each and every one of them. They were individually motivated yet driven to the same goal, and still entirely believable at the same time. My biggest concern came from the cafe conversations. I got used to them, but they sometimes created a bit of a mood whiplash as they were more mellow and sometimes robbed situations of their urgency. But past that, it was a wonderful game and truly a joy to experience.

Under rating threshold (show) @Proudmoore: This is only partially true. Talking to people will get you their endings, but there are certain prerequisites to talk to each person, and also to unlock their ending. For Tessa, you must have 80 mods to get her ending. For Deadeye, You must have all your weapon levels equal to 360 or higher. For Johnny, you must have $400,000 before you can talk to him the last time. For Ginny, you must never die. For Nefereti, you must get 4000 kills or more on hard. Getting these and all of the other endings that don't have requirements other than talking will unlock the full special ending by clicking on the "I have no wish" button. Thumb this up so people can see!

Under rating threshold (show) Wow. If you lay down the sense of haste in every second, even the smallest thing then can move your inside. I must admit to NOT having skipped any dialogue and also not putting out the speakers for a second. Because time is just getting short again: Great music, a nice-to-read language, well formed characters. I praise your work and what large scale of fantasy could arise from your mind. Up for a sequel, if it's possible to improve the masterpiece without loss.

Under rating threshold (show) I, uh, I guess I really don't know what to say here. I've never been the kind of person who plays games for the story, especially not Flash games on Kongregate (which are basically all I play :)), so I might have been a bit skeptical about this when I first started it; I guess the best thing I can say is that I now feel quite bad about that. I won't call it "perfect" -- nothing's perfect --but I've never teared up over the plot of a game before. Maybe you rediscovered some lost art of making games with good stories, or maybe you just made a good game using tools that were there all along-- regardless . . . I love it.

Under rating threshold (show) I can say nothing but good about this game. The creator of this game managed to make a flash game that is worthy of being called a real game. I would pay for this game or for even the sequel (If he makes one). The gameplay is great, and the storyline is AMAZING. Even though it's a flash game, it is worthy of now being in my top 5 games of all time. I will remember this game forever. To the creator; I have to thank you for making such an amazing game, please make a sequel, we all want one!

Under rating threshold (show) This game, I beat it once before. It is a wonderful game, but when I first played it, I was too naive to understand anything that the words meant. I have matured now, and now I fully understand what the characters are saying. It is difficult to do when younger, but now, this game kind of has a more depressing, yet enlightening feeling behind it. It makes me feel a little sad, but it makes me so happy at the same time. I love it. 5/5 x1000 and many times over my friend. Good job.

Under rating threshold (show) Just a friendly suggestion from a player who really enjoyed your game -- If you're going to make a level full of mazes like "Absolute Zero," it would be helpful if you could clean up the hitbox of your ship, and its interaction with walls. Sometimes you can fly right through them, and other times walls take on this sort of magnetic property that basically kills you because you can't get away from them.

Under rating threshold (show) One of the best games I ever played. I got all the endings except for the last special one, one I'm currently trying to get, but each one of them moved me to the brink of tears and touched my heart. I would dearly love to see a sequel. I love games and I love good stories. Starwish is a perfect mix of both and also has amazing and heat touching music composed by some great people.

Under rating threshold (show) Living proof that an engaging storyline actually enhances the gameplay sections too. The gameplay element is just a simple space shooter that has only tiny variations throughout the levels, but if you actually read the cutscenes, you feel strangely pumped to to get out there shooting again.

Under rating threshold (show) For those coming after the Flash death date, you can't play the game here anymore but you CAN still play the game using these steps: 1. Go to bluemaxima.org/flashpoint as suggested below by Fierra Star 2. Go to downloads and dowload one of the versions, I personally went with the Infinity version, which I recommend. 3. Once the download completes, go to your downloads folder and extract the files. It may want to extract to your downloads folder, but don't let it or it won't run. Extract them into a new folder on your desktop. 4. Go into that folder and click the Start Flashpoint shortcut. Then, click on the games list and search Starwish, then play. Once it loads click the Play button on the right, the "Game Start" button from here will be absent. 5. Enjoy! If you still have trouble, you can find a Flashpoint manual in the FAQ section of the BlueMaxima website. Hope this helps some of you capture some of the nostalgia I feel every time I play this game. Have fun, and fly true

Under rating threshold (show) Great storyline, characters, dialogue, pretty much everything that has already been said. I would like to see your talents with plot and character development put into a RPG quest type game rather than a side scrolling shooter, this game is fun but i think that you limited your potential with the game style you chose. Please consider making a game where your storyline is involved in the actual game play rather than a bonus like this game. I still loved this game and hope you keep creating. Food for thought PS. 5/5

Under rating threshold (show) -part 2- I hope you will move in this direction in future: joined forces with Auriplane in terms of working with music and a few good programmers who can give the game a decent engine and will be able together to set up your own small game development studio. Or join an existing one, where you can concentrate on the job with the plot and characters. And to help make the first move in this direction in addition to my words and 5/5 rating, I add a donation for $ 20 (the typical cost of licensing a commercial game in my country) for you and Auriplane (split by 50/50). I hope people who liked the game as much as I follow my example (any sum). Thank you for your excellent work and wish you success in future work.

Under rating threshold (show) By far the best game I've ever played on this site. I don't often vote on games, but felt I had to give this the five stars it deserves. It is not without flaws; the stages lacked variety, and some of the dialogue could have used revision; for one thing, there were a couple points that weren't internally consistent. That's all I can say in criticism, though, and it's not much! The hallmark of a good story is that you become attached to the characters. When it started out, a little voice in my head said, "this is going to be just like every other dialogue-driven Flash game you've played." Ten minutes in, that voice sat down and shut up. Standing ovation for everyone who worked on this marvel. With a little more polish, this game could easily go commercial, and I will be watching for a sequel - you WILL make one.
