i think this game is awesome but it would be awesomer if the soldiers had lower health and cover to defend themselves

i love this game. i like how you have these little short video clips with auido but you don't have one with the airplanes they just come out of no where.

what a lot of people dont understand is that this isnt truly meant as a game to reinnact the omaha beach landing. Its just showing the pointlessness of war

lower the health on the troops man in real life it takes 1 bullet to kill you or take you out of action 2-3 your done son 4-6 your dead
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
there should be more bunkers.... and i should be able 2 see the landing ships that carries troops AND there wasnt just 1 german with a mg42 shooting there were alot though defeat was inevitable can i plz have some help other than the crappy motar that kill 3 guys. also as alot of other people said, make the american soldiers have less health

Okay there are some serious problems here. There was barbed wire, and it was a gradual slope up to the bunkers. I should be able to see the landing craft (LVTA2's and those other ones) As it is LAUNCHED, I should be able to annihlate the troops as the doors merely open! There were no tanks on Omaha Beach, and there was only 1 or 2 beaches that had a FEW tanks! In reality I would get sniped, killed by a richocheting bullet, or have my bunker flamed by the second day. The Americans have FAR too much health, as do I. Where are the tank traps, anti air guns, and where the HELL is my barbed wire? I hope you realise that each bunker had trenches behind it full of those evil freaks, and the bunkers were loaded with bolt action rifle men, and at least 2 machine guns. Why does everyone else but me die, except for my engineers and mortars who I never see?

I love how an american soldier takes 5 huge mauser bullets from an MG42 machine gun, the american snipers never kill me, I never see a landing craft, and the mortars only fire when they think I have "earned" it?

If for nothing else but the ambiance and mood (the somber, and sometimes uplifting music fits well with the game) of the game, I recommend playing this through a few times. Also adds a little historical flavor as well. Towards the end it's pretty tough. I've only managed to get about a 72-hour invasion postpwnment. As agent Smith might have said "it is inevitable" ;)

needs an achievement for not killing any allies and letting the Nazi's lose fast. interesting concept how you can't win, yet you don't really want to. in a way you can't lose.

Really great game. Although, the most I can get is 3-5 days, it's great. But, if you wanted a realistic game, on the real D-Day, all it took was one bullet to take a US Soldiers Life. What i'm tryin' to say is....the soldiers' health could use a little lowering...other than that, I like it.

LYNSTON those are not .50 bullets they are 7.92mm and thats only if it is a mg42 which was Germanys slandered machine gun at that time and its not unrealistic since it can destroy tanks? judging a game based on authenticity is the stupidest thing you can do cause i have yet to have seen a realistic game if you know of 1 please tell me what it is.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I like it cuz it has a good concept of a game. I dislike it cuz it's unrealistic (Ex. a .50 bullet would stop a soldier in one hit, even if he dosen't die, and i think it might take more than a machine gunner to stop a tank.) but theres room for improvement and lucky for the rating tht balances each other out 3.5/5

@rubicondan1995 Yes Hitler did cause the holocaust, and start WWII because he broke that treaty, but have you realized that Germany was never invited to the negotiations of this treaty, and that considering that they were driven into an poor economy it would have been impossible to pay back all the money? And the fact that Germany never started WWI so making them take the blame seemed really silly.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Luckily, the germans didn't have TD games back in the day, or we would all have been speaking german :) Nice game, if a little politically incorrect :P 5/5 for the nice music!

Germans killed 6 mil Jews and millions of other people for no reason and broke treaty of versatility which states they cant claim land which he did couldn't have bigger army then 100,000 people he also did must take all blame for WWI and something else anyway Hitler broke this rule people ignored him taking places eventually he became increasing more powerful until he finally killed himself in a bunker in Berlin.

*cough* since alot of people are screwing this up, let me make 1 thing straight:
The nazis killed 6 million jews, 5 million other people they didn't like (Ex.- Jahovas witnesses, political prisoners, colored people, disabled people...) and about 1.5 million of the jews were children.
ALSO, I don't think this is meant to have anything to do with the holocaust, and as he said, it's not supposed to be pro-nazi.
