I love it, the only game i've found that you fight on the side of the axis, hats off for one of the few original ideas.

It's funny because the bunker you guy is in is able to withstand rockets, air support, snipers, gernadiers, tanks, foot men, and buggies. I think i would be dead after the first couple of shots, rockets or any thing else. Also the foot soilders are like mutants.

What? I got a score of 221 hours but the high-score's are saying I only got 217. Normally they bring down your score by an hour, not 4!

If for nothing else but the ambiance and mood (the somber, and sometimes uplifting music fits well with the game) of the game, I recommend playing this through a few times. Also adds a little historical flavor as well. Towards the end it's pretty tough. I've only managed to get about a 72-hour invasion postpwnment. As agent Smith might have said "it is inevitable" ;)

lieopluradon projectiles can take down tanks and jeeps + planes but soldies can easily strafe an projectile (i dont know why)

i was expecting yet another dull strategy defense game, i cant tell you how surprised i was when d-day defender finally finished loading and i was instead treated to a comprehensively informative flash animation about elves

This remind me that patriotism is not like before, they needed to take out the bunkers and destroy the anti air cannons after them, so aircraft could pass and take down any remnants of German troops. You would give your life for other country now ? Nah, before, yes.

Here's what this game needs for realism: Longer reloads, lower accuracy, faster fire rate, more damaging bullets, far less tanks (some beaches had no tanks at all to make it to the beaches), slower guys, and then it will be realistic.

To any idiot who think americans single handedly won the war, A hitler offered an alliance with britain, B if we didnt take part at the begining like america the war would have been lost and C we were the ones who fought tough and nail for years loosing more then the americans. without the americans we would have lost but without us the nazi regime would have won. end of

people commenting about "this is pro-nazi" are idiots. German soldiers on the frontline were NOT (all) nazis, they were simply soldiers doing what they were told to.

great game. if you want to make it even better than put less health on troops, the landing ships. huge masses of troops. no upgrades.and keep all the dead bodies. have them hide behind barriers and such.

During D-Day landing on the beaches, the Allied only landed marines, not tanks until the area is pretty much secured.And there is also tank traps put to prevent tanks to be landed.germany only had about 10k soldiers so this game is highly inaccurate

nicley done on the turn around, i liked that you made it as a german mg42, could use some minor upgrades, less enemy hp, but very good game. Also like that the music starts playin let you know your time has come.

it wasnt the invasion that was so costly it was the foot hold that askox mentioned.160,000 landed about 70,000survived,and most of those that were "alive" were wounded.imhearing this on the military as i type.

I really like the fact that you play this from the point of view of a German defender, instead of the usual American invader. I'm glad it didn't follow the- "History of war is writen by the winner." Which is true almost always.

what a lot of people dont understand is that this isnt truly meant as a game to reinnact the omaha beach landing. Its just showing the pointlessness of war

needs an achievement for not killing any allies and letting the Nazi's lose fast. interesting concept how you can't win, yet you don't really want to. in a way you can't lose.

I love how an american soldier takes 5 huge mauser bullets from an MG42 machine gun, the american snipers never kill me, I never see a landing craft, and the mortars only fire when they think I have "earned" it?

Just saying to the person who says the Americans were the only ones with troubles, that is completely false. The Canadians on Juno Beach took a higher casualty rate, Omaha is just most famous because it was larger. Also, one German couldn't have killed 2,000 on Omaha because the TOTAL dead on both Utah and Omaha was around 2,500 so saying one man on Omaha accounted for the majority of these is a complete fallacy.
