I really like this game, I love the struggle of getting customers to buy your records, but after you own all the shoppes and you have bought and upgraded everything you possibly can, theres not much to do . . .

heres a tip in your first shop people prefer urban then pop then classics. sometimes on genre like indie overflows and they want a crap ton( i had to get 15 but i didnt since it was a one day thing)

Could be good if there were more ways to attract customers to your store, potentially with in store concerts, or signings? Perhaps an option to extend a store, and to place another till. Also you could add further management potential by allowing the hiring of staff, which would need training, etc? Also, could be cool if you could operate multiple stores simultaneously, and had competing stores you could either purchase or undercut. Also, if you could sell more varied products, I'd suggest mp3 players, stereos, vinyl, etc. Because at this stage the game reaches a point where if you get the best store fully upgraded, you hit a wall where people simply won't buy as many CDs as you can stock, so could be cool to add these features for a more varied late game play. Final thought: if you could be randomly robbed, experience a VIP visit, and other 'one the day' events. Great game, so much potential.

Got to a late stage of the game and it just kind've stops. At a certain point you can't grow your customer base or get your existing customers to buy more. There's no end to the game per se, but there's definitely a point where it runs out of material

I love this game, but it has so much potential that is not used!!!!!
The game needs more places, more options for things to build inside your shops, needs more situations in game, needs to not be based purely on gross income over periods of days! Needs to get a plot to go with it!
Overall, I love playing this game, and it is great, but without any major changes, you could make this a super amazing game.

rly nice game, mechanics work good, but you'd probably want to fix some bugs: costumers running through walls, purchasing from a few squares away from the counter, my news headline once changed after loading, and havibng already stocked up, i couldn't handle the new desire :(. but actually the news headlines are quite interesting to play with, i just would like some more long-term changges, probably in the normal buyying habits as well (e.g. so that dance music begins to raise over a few days, and then stays up there)
oh, and by the way, did anyone notice that, when you scroll from the loading screen to the first ad, the version number goes down to 1.0? maybe you forgot to change it there, so i mention it here, hopefully for you to see...

I reckon it needs an inventory type of thing. Because currently, my property has every spot taken up, and i want to move something, but i can't, because the spot i want to move it to is already taken up. There should be a 'storage' tab for your items.

I love such games. But in this one the last 40 days are of no use - no strategy is involved there, all upgrades applied, just buy and sell.

for all who get the "i still have version < 2.3" bug:
just erase your cache. Next time it will load the game new and it will be 2.3

Hate it when a game has a bug (infinite cash by moving between properties and just buying CDs) and the highscore list is bloated with people who abused it and you cant see if you did a good job without cheating. Spoils the game and I hope the next revision will fix the bug and reset (or create a new) highscore list.

This is a fun game, but I would like for it to take us further. It gets pretty repetitious. After I realized that upgrading my second property was exactly the same process that I went through with my first property, but on a bigger scale, I lost interest. I'd like to see new building options, different customers interactions and have new possible actions unlocked with each property. Something that makes the player feel like they are accomplishing something, aside from stocking up on money.
All that aside, it was entertaining.

Great game 4.5/5 its got a few problems other with it'd be 5/5 1)i put cd rack down then sold it to put in a demo booth, it wouldnt let me put it in then later wouldnt let me buy the booths. 2)Glitchy customers... i had one glitch through my racks and the other leave through my wall... instead of the door the one who left through the wall froze my computer. 3) when you move out of a place you dont bring CDs, i can understand not bringing racks. 4)Itd Be Really nice if you could buy an extra cash register. 6) ive heard of multiple other problems, (not being able to buy propertys, a person put earlier his people got stuck in the doorway b/c his racks were there and the day didnt end. itd be nice if there was a close shop early button.) 7) itd also be nice if you could close up shop for a day. 8) itd be cool if you could fund Concerts instead of waiting a month for them. Id also like to see a sequel to this, vote up if you agree with some of the things ive stated =) 4.5-5/5

One day the whole town wants pop, so I buy a crap ton of pop, since it says one area will like on genre the most, next day they all want urban wtf is this crap?

At the last location, buy all CD racks to max, and 1 Listening post, and max your register to LEVEL 4, then max your popularity. From there, you've beaten the game, congrats.
Space tips:Make the 8x8 square of the location to a 6x6 to make a neat snake formation, the CD racks forming on the 7th location, all unbroken until the top right square.
If you do this right, you should have 500 CD capacity. That's 100 each. Hope this helped you!

I would love the ability to set a standard amount of stock and just refill the quota. Something like: "Have this many Pop records" and whatever was needed to bridge that gap would be purchased. Is it a little lazy? Yes. But it would certainly help with players who "max out" profit and upgrades well before the 100 days are up.

Quick Bug: I bought a DJ booth, and later on sold it. after I sold it, I still was getting the effects of it (customers being happy when they enter, with a DJ over their head) even though I didn't have it. possibly rate up so the creator might see? :)

Just a few things. There really needs to be an upgrade for the cashier system. Every day I get unhappy customers due to long lines, despite how well I place my racks or if I have the hi-fi or not. Something also doesn't make sense about the customer's complaints. I have my CD price down to $15.25, and the average is $18.75 (As said by the paper), and they still complain about high prices. Also, at the end of the day, with the report that comes up, some things aren't visible for me. For instance, if I have a positive increase with the karma, it isn't visible. Money earned, Marketing Cost, and Net Result are all invisible. And something customers just don't buy anything, apparently because I'm not stocking that genre. Customers will walk out complaining about a lack of pop, when I have 12 in stock. And I literally get no sales that day.
Aside from those few things, this game really has a lot of potential. 4/5 right now, hopefully these things will get improved.

This game would get 5/5 from me if it wasn't buggy as hell. Come on, even the version number in the preloader that is supposed to fix bugs doesn't work: it switches to 1.0 when the record player scrolls right. No fo coruse that's just a cosmetic thing but there are dozens of little things like that in the game (advertising bar not going to 100, available funds not updated when you buy new stuff on build mode, etc. etc.), and a couple of real mood killer bugs like the one where you can't place stuff, and whatever you do just adds footprints. I'm sure others have already reported most of this stuff so I won't go on, but I strongly urge the developer to fix these bugs ASAP. This game has the potential to be the game of the month!

Customers frustrated with long wait time? Annoyed that you can't buy additional cash registers? The solution: Recordshop Tycoon Tower Defense. If the costumers can make it through the maze, they get to buy their CD's. :P

its a good game but unbalanced and a bit hard to get when you first start. but its a good start for a great game. keep on fixing it and it coudt be a hell of a game
