Dang man, this is a fantastic game! This is the first game in a while that I've enjoyed this much... honestly, I would love to see waaay more levels in this game. It would be cool to see some more unit customization.

Guys! Keep in mind, that bugs (bees, maggots) and enemy troops (goblins, black knights) are deadly enemies for each other! It can be handy in survival mode, when you have issues at getting the badge :) I used to keep my troops near the spawning area. Try to keep your rangers (archers, catapults) alive as longer as you can. Protect them by the melee fighters via surrounding them. Max the attack on the rangers and max the armor on the melee infantries. Rush down the necromancers with the knights, because they are fast and kill the high ranged necromancers in no time! I hope, I was helpful! :) ++ if you want to keep this comment alive! Thanks. :)

My only complaint is that I can't tell my troops to defend or something so that they don't run halfway across the map chasing one guy.

More than the game, I admire the developer's attention to the requests of the players. The flash world needs more developers like that! Good on you!

It'd be nice if it was easier to control the squads. It'd feel a lot more comfortable if I could just click and drag to move a squad, or tell a squad to halt without a move command, for examples.

Simple and fun. 20 minutes well spent. No infinite grinding, no pay to win. You know what? All internet games should be like this one.

This game has TONS of potential!!! Others have already offered great advice, the only thing I will add is that (in my opinion) although it is a good game, it lacked strategy really... I found that just "clumping" my army together was enough to get through everything. If you added a little more difficulty to it I think it would be an amazing game! Looking forward to the sequel!!

Survival Mode badge: 1) Set up all your squads near the lower left corner (but not too near). There are necromancers that will come and deplete your armies' health from a distance, so you must be situated here to attack them. 2) This is key: Get the Rocker so once you've situated your squads here, you'll never have to move them since the Rocker can attack enemies that are relatively far away. I would upgrade its attack at least once. 3) As for squad set-up, I'm sure there's more than one good one, but me personally, I bought all of them except for the Midday Riders, then maxed out the archer squads' attacks and the four melee squads' defenses. With the leftover money, I upped each of the four melee squads' attacks to 2 and had 30 gold left over. Good luck!

Really enjoyed it. Too bad units don't avoid obstacles automatically, but at least it's fair that the enemy AI is no better at it.

This game is just so good. Simple tactics with lots of action and a nice upgrade system. The only things I'd like to see more of is:
- Options to customize the units. For instance, be able to upgrade their size independently from attack and defense.
-A pause function. It's a bit awkward to give orders to all units at once in Survival, when you start getting swarmed with 2-3 different kinds of enemies at once.
-More kinds of missions besides "kill all enemies". Defending NPCs, preventing enemies from destroying a castle, or even just reach a certain point of the map alive.

What might be useful is an option to tell units to "Stand Their Ground," and fight together and not move instead of randomly chasing enemy units around the map.

The only real problem is dealing with squad movement, which is really frustrating. There's no pathfinding AI so your troops get caught on things and once you have six squads you spend half the battle clicking. That's not even mentioning how many times I've moved a squad into another squad when trying to select the second one.

Lol that ending. Great game been a long time since I've seen a game similar to this. I'm sure I'm not the only one looking forward to the sequel. Take your time with it though if its as sweet as this one is there is no rushing success. We can wait.

Bigger deployment zones would definetely be a great improvement (man, i'm writing this like 14 months after publishment, but who cares).

Individual soldiers needs to 'hold the line' more and not end up being pushed around like marbles to the corners of the map! It's hard to use any strategy when it's like this. :(

Came for the badge but stayed for the game. Though there could be bits and pieces of things that could be added but still a solid 5/5. Damn good music to, gets you going.

Commander: "Alright men, now I know a lot of you are hankering for some good old fashioned war exercise, but this is a civilized world and we are civilized people! You will walk, leisurely, from one point to another. If you are separated from the rest of the group, by all means take your time to get back to us. And by all means, if you see an enemy slowly approach it - no matter how many of your fellows are approaching that same enemy. For king and country, men!"

@nicolas1003: Click the "Report missing Achievement" button. Kongregate developers will give you your badge usually within 12 hours.

4/5 This game is a lot of fun, and I really enjoy this genre, but the game-play depth wasn't really there. I never even got close to losing any level, and the strategy is just pile your units up and wait (with the exception of gathering treasure chests and getting the mages on the ending levels). It would be nice if the enemies didn't automatically run at you, so you have to move your units occasionally.
I just maxed att. on archers, and primarily armor on everyone else.

4\5 Just for the wacky serious-comical atmosphere and punchlines before even playing it...!! Let's see if it becomes a 5\5...
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
A hard mode would be nice, as it is now; place archers/artillery in the middle and melee troups around, and just wait for the carnage. Rinse and repeat.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
is there any way to select multiple units at the same time when fighting? or does it explain while advancing the campaign?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I've been able to buy the auto coin collector without having enough money. I'm now at -40 total loot. Great game though, 5/5.
It seems like the trend is on very good strategy games.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Good concept, like the volume controls - every game should have them. Not a fan of the game though. Seems too chaotic and I don't feel like I can really control what my troops are doing at all. Sure, I can "move" them... but they just seem to run around and break formation pretty fast.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
My squads aren't smart enough to make it around obstacles. It is somewhat annoying to guide them around, is there something that can be done?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
nice game, lots of potential for future versions. needs to be longer though, i doesn't take that long to get through the campaign. a larger battlefield is also needed: now there's barely room to place all your troops. But it's a nice game
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Awesome game wish it was longer, also loved that if you move troops around at the right time you destroy that unit. This was so a 10/5
