Really enjoyed playing this game, I see you had a lot of great suggestions already, so im just going to point out that making hotkeys for each squad or a sidebar where you can press their icon would be much appreciated. It gets a bit kaotic a times, and trying to get the right squad shouldn't be the my biggest worry.

, listen to this: the very first thing to do is to buy ALL upgrades for available units. it may take awhile but it'll be worth it. then follow this guide:Swordsmen: Main use, alwayse use them as a frontal assault frontal assault. they will plow through them, and then you turn them to other enemies.Archers: place directly behind swordsmen, do not place them in any vunreble position at all. Spearmen: put behind or to side of archers, they will fend off the oh so dreaded unexpected arrivals. Calvary: they are your most versitile units, so be carefull. they have many uses, such as picking up stragglers, hit-and-running large infantry groups to shave them down, and rushing very dangerous groups. They are also your fastest units, so you can use them to reach critica areas quickly. Canapults, also very versitile, but best way is to either attack very powerfull enemies or scattering and "priming" them for attack. place like archers. Hope this helped!

M god... a game wih easy sound options besides sound and mute... this game is amazing and that is the icing on the cake of victory!

For the 500 score in survival: 2 normal soldier squad (maxed), 2 archer squad (attack maxed) and one cavalry (maxed). After start, move them to the bottom left corner and place cavalry + 1 soldier squad in the corner, 1 soldier squad in the right and the 2 archer squad in the middle. Easily picked 650+ gold coins. Rate up so that people can see it.

Not often this happens, but I could tell this game would be a winner as soon as I played the first mission. Then I read the comments and saw that the developers were paying attention and getting excited about new ideas and features. In other words, we have some kick butt developers on our hands guys! Yay for them and us! We will get more fun games from people who take player comments to heart, and who also will not implement micro- transactions! This is good news, very good news. Thank you, Yarg and team, for making cool games.

I glitched... and a single archer with low health managed to kill an army of 10 infantry units. They couldn't attack him... That must be how Achilles felt.

In my opinion, it's great. A few thing you should add though is, multiple terrains, more customizable armies(ability to change name and such), some sort of small upgrade tree, and more army types. Very well made. I congratulate you on a job well done! :)

Love the tongue in cheek humor of the story, finally a developer that realizes we've seen all the fantasy tropes before, and taking your self too seriously just gets us to skip the story. I read every line because it made me chuckle....

Make troops gain exp when repeating battles! It can be 1/4 but make them get exp! Or my man will never be fully leveled up!

â–º â–º â–º Fun game, HnL. :) But there is a flaw in this game's structure. If I play a battle and barely win, then MOST my squads wont get EXP. Then what will happen is each fight in the future will get harder and harder with no way to get more EXP, since we cannot go back and get EXP that is missing. A fix might be to indicate that there's still missing EXP on some maps to go back and get. And there isn't even a benefit to taking fewer squads. Also, if I purposefully only take 1 squad, and they do all the work, they still get the same EXP as when I split the work between multiple squads, that should be fixed too. Another bit I'd like to see is being able to set marching orders before battle starts, and I'd like the flag leader of each squad to fight, but he would always be last to die. It looks weird with the flagger dying nowhere, or not fighting/pushing an enemy flagger.

Very fun game. I suggest a drag feature because some people like me are used to dragging squads instead of clicking and moving them.

Cool game, very enjoyable. Short but sweet. Survival mode sucks of course. I detest playing anything that is suicidal and doomed to fail, especially to the last man, but I got the badge...for what I'm not sure. But yeah, I'd like to play a more extensive campaign.

Isn't the survival mode a little innately flawed? A troll gives as much gold as a skelly. Worse than that though you have to sweep the mouse to pick up the gold, but in Survival mode moving actually matters. Why not have the upgrade apply to survival all the time? And I know it's probably not worth it to adjust the scoring now. I just felt the urge to comment because I did really enjoy the game.

Hi great game totally loved it but do you guys know when the sequel is coming out? And the story line was great but you could make it longer, overall i am so pumped for the sequel. :)

The gameplay as such, ok I guess. Without the story, would have rated 3 stars tops. But the story telling alone is worth 5, the game could have been tic tac toe and I still would have rated it 5/5!

campaign was a bit too easy, I got gold on all missions without trouble, survival mode was too repetitive, maybe start with less money and have a wave system, but I loved the story line. This is more real than the traditional "exiled lord" idea. I prefer the idea of a stubborn oppertunistic bandit taking over.

Any tips for Survival mode? I keep getting close (457, 481, 470, etc.) but no dice on 500. I've noticed that if you keep everyone together in the top corner sometimes enemy troops will fight each other off, which helps a little..

A very creative game :) but why in gods name did you use a magnet as artifact? it dosen't really fit in :/ you should have made a sceptre or something :)

There is a last slot for a possible squad in the squad panel... something to unlock, or is there really nothing here?
