Really good for what it is. Suggestion: let enemy bullets die after a short time--when speed is upgraded, you can run into a bullet you dodged five seconds ago. Speaking of enemy bullets, kudos for making it very easy to distinguish them from your own bullets.

I've always disliked Snake and all its variants, but... I gotta say this one is damn cool. 4/5 for the game, +1 for making me favorite a Snake game :) 5/5

Ok two more things. Put limit how long opponent bullet flies. Either as an drop or upgrade; put like "call reinforcements" or "reinforcement drop" or w/e you'd call it. So you could use that on desperate situation where your army just ate a missile and you could nuke and parachute some emergency troops in.

Timer for waves or cap to soldiers per level, maybe some tankier guys who can take one one missile or upgrade soldiers (separately or all together). Maybe some other drops and upgrades.
Now it's like boom all my men gone and I'm just waiting running sides of map while enemy pathfinding keeps them in middle so I can stack up with guys and health again to continue.
(...well if I bothered to, I'd do that, but ya >.<)... or die... (well I suppose you could also pick up bunch of snipers at start and stand in middle... or minigunners for more accessible money or something?) though timer and/or cap as mentioned ^^
Other than that I enjoyed the game for that while I played while ^^ (enemy comes from sides and have pathfinding directly towards you and amount just increases... yeah not something to that I personally can bother with much more. Nice bullet hellish stuff is always fun though ^^)

Combining Snake and Bullet-hell genre - and producing a relaxing game ... WTF!
Does get a little boring when all the upgrades are brought but definitly worth a 5 :) And a sequal.

WHy does my squad have to walk around in a line instead of a normal formation. It's like they are a snake squad or somethi... oh... nevermind. Nice game, guys. 5/5

A really fun game.......Sadly I had a really hard time avoiding enemy fire, and that's not even taking into account my allies getting hit. Maybe it was because of the super small view or the fast bullet speed. But I think it is because the camera (and the ground map) jerks dramatically when you change direction. The inability to dodge bullets made me camp with snipers too often and altogether avoid moving fast or far away.... Again: good stuff. I especially love my minigun guys.

I enjoyed this game quite a bit. Would like to see an option to turn off bought units though, The flamethrower guys are cool and all, but it having more than 2 makes it hard to see the bullets.

A rather quirky game actually. It kind of reminds me of Cannon Fodder. I think adding obstacles to the playing fields might make things more challenging, as would a variety of settings. In addition, a story/mission mode with objectives might be cool also.
As it stands, though, it's a really neat and fun game to play. I couldn't stop playing for awhile. Great game.

Not sure if it has to do with me being on a mac or not but the keyboard control refuses to work for me so I'm stuck with mouse. God I hate Macs

If you're going to make a game w/out any kind of story line to it, it has to be a lot more entertaining than this. The gameplay simply didn't have enough depth to be the only element. 2/5.

great game. few suggestions (that others have most likely said before) a pause button would be great. being able to upgrade your comando's gun (ie, rate of fire and damage output) and being able to upgrade your soldiers (ie faster rate of fire, damage output and, most of all, HEALTH)

I like the idea that the commander becomes stronger the bigger the snake is. Way to reinvent one of the first games ever made for the PC into something completely amazing! The art is kind of um, "borrowed" from nerdduke but it's still a great game.

The supply of upgrades is way too small. It didn't take much time to max out my commander, and from there, trying again to get a better score gets boring quickly.
