Yes indeed this game is great and the forum is great too.

@iancudorinmarian: In response to your "He has to test everything after he adds something", developers build a test unit or unit testing mechanism to avoid this time consuming process. Especially with this maze of if-statement (which we call AI) I would build an test unit around it to save myself days of debugging the code. I'll bet he just do the same. Please don't respond like a developer when you're not because it gives false information to the other players.

@iancudorinmarian: I know, that's why I ended with "I'm not complaining". I'm a professional developer myself and know the amount of work. I don't want to go be technical here but telling that development goes fast and is bigger than other developers is just a lie (my post was a response). Then when I started playing in the winter of 2009/2010 it was not only the amount of updates but also the size of updates was a lot more, ONE man or not. Just go back to the time when sundial (hasten ability) blocked for 2 turns, nymphs didn't exists, farmed the hell out of T50 and the high-score board was linked with mochigames you'll see that the 1.4 update isn't that big, not half of it (UI changes doesn't mean writing code). So I think the ONE man is a poor excuse, he has other projects and other priorities than elements and we have to respect that, at least I do.

@Bassx, he's only ONE man. He can't work day and night for EtG, he has other projects as well. I guess you saw what the next update will be, that's a LOT of work, you don't even realize how hard it is to do something like that WITHOUT wrecking the game. He has to test everything after he adds something, as I told you, he works on this project ALONE. I admire him for his interest in the community. Once he gets the news that something is broken, like pvp, he comes as fast as he can to fix it, even though he's pretty busy.

@rowcla: I have to disagree with you here. The last update was 4 months ago, and the update was minor: a pvp bug fix. So also Zanz is doing small updates. The last bigger update was 1.5 years ago, we did get new cards (salvages and dry spell), shards moved to an element and some balancing has been made as new UI for some cards. It was the update from 1.31 to 1.32. I'm not complaining or anything, still playing everyday, but development is very slow compared to what Zanz did in 2009/2010.

@0z9tu Err, actually, I don't really think that is, the official forum, as well as the in development area on the official website both clearly indicate future updates, as well as the actual contents of them. While Zanz doesn't update in small bits like some developers, updates do come, and they usually contain a reasonable amount of new content. It really wasn't all that long ago that the last update was released. Compared to many other games anyway.

I find it impressive that this game, put on kong in 2009, is still the top rated CCG. And it still has a community and is being updated.

@Hexic100000- I had a game like yours too. I was 65 hp vs 10hp left on my enemy. the AI2 didnt have any creatures on field, only a 1 hourglass and frozen shield. the turned ended i gave me a loss but i had 4wryms and a dragon up to do more than 8 hp worth of dmg. Really bummed, i hope theses bug/glitches get fixed....

@Hexic100000 - The only cause for that I can think of is PVP right now. The servers have decided to kick people from games resulting in a loss pretty much every time you try to PVP (or at least the games that I and others have played). Hopefully we'll get a fix soon.

Adressing all the keep losing comments: Post in chat, there is always someone on there willing to help you build a deck to get you started, if just any person won most of their games right off the bat it would be too easy and boring.

@brussier33: I continuosly tried to help you, you ignored help. That is your fault that you are doing bad at that point. No, the game isn't easy for starters. You either need knowledge of card games before hand, or to have help. You have nor the knowledge, nor did you accept the help.

This game isn't that fun. I keep losing and there barely a tutorial on how to play. It's nice that this is a free game but it isn't that spectacular.

there are too many people in plat arena - im out (rank 700+) in like day and a halve with 14/5 ratio; and yesterday i was ranked 400- with 12/2 ratio; i guess this makes my deck quite good, but still im out; and being new player i dont have nearly close to enough upgraded cards for a new deck every day;
should there be a platinum+ league? say for 100 best players in plat league each day?

@yobobs0: Its not that the game is hard, its that you are a starter that has little to no idea what they are doing. Simply modifying the starters allows level 2s to be easy, and 3s can be easy with just a little more work. Ask for help in chat.

I like the game-play and the way there are SO many cards to collect! But the game gets hard too quickly... I was finished with the Bazaar quest and it says "go beat the Level 1 dude," and I'm like wait, what?!

This is ridiculous. I cannot win a pvp game because it always says i have no connection to the server. I have no problem with internet connection. What gives?
