@LordOfTheSickle - An educated guess, the arena needs decks for you to play against, but fewer players are rebuilding their decks. So it's full of decks that have gone past 1 HP and become invalid.

I think there's a bug in the arena mode.
It happens so often I start a game (in every league) and I see the preview of the opponent's deck with every stat full... but then I have an instant winning, the slot machine makes sounds just like as it's working, but I can't see any card.
In other occasions the match starts as usual, but the opponent has just 1 HP.
Quite easy to gain money and points like that!

You can make a forum account and then join a whole lot of PvP activities or game discussion. We have weekly tournaments that occur sometime between Friday and Sunday (it rotates every week to accommodate all time zones) and larger PvP Events that span several weeks. Also a lot of other cool competitions like card design competitions or writing competitions. Feel free to hit the chat tab to talk to people. There's almost always a few people online who are good at this game and can offer advice/tips.

Gawd I hate this game but I stubbornly keep playing it. I prefer games of skill where you don't keep getting dealt a crappy hand and get creamed no matter what you do.

Ya know, I have the Mark of Life, and I have the elements which are related to Life (Nature) like Fire, Water, Light, Air, and Earth. However, I don't have much of Air or Earth. It's pretty fun to make relations towards elements :)

In most cases farming silver arena is better than bronze, since there are more 1HP decks and getting the bonus spin is faster.

you don't need to build a deck for dealing with the various AI, farming bronze is hmmm...something like 200 times more efficient? the number changes a lot depending on how much work it takes you to get a deck together in the first place if you're working exclusively on the AI.
even using a starter deck you are usually going to be getting 120 or 240 electrum per match in bronze every 15 seconds or so, with the decks that actually have hp still being relatively easy to deal with compared to the mid level AI.

I recommend this guide to everyone who doesn't want to waste a day of your life with OTHERS guides. Just get the all athers deck and you win 95% of level 3 fight. And i even win the fake god with that, so it's the best (it only took me 5 or so tries to beat a fake god). Just do this and you save aa day of pure torture, unlike me.

Unfortunately, the developer no longer works on the game. Oddly enough though, when the servers crashed a couple years back, he returned to fix them.

I love this game. I've been coming back, every so often, to play it again for years. It seems this time there are a lot of bugs and some features don't work quite right. You'd think, with such a hit game, that it would be better taken care of by the developer.

Oh, as for consistent wins at higher levels. Here's a deck that will consistently beat ai3: 6shriekers 6 graboids 18 stone pillars. Set your mark to time. Also works in bronze and silver. You could replace 1 stone pillar with a short sword (many do) but it's up to you.

I disagree justjoe, I've played mtg since I was 7 or so, still do today. There are plenty of differences. One of the biggest is the limited card selection. Also the fact that the creature skills and/or passives are very different. Sure the cards have an atk and life but there are tons of ccgs like that. There are similarities but calling it a rip off is just stupid. There are plenty of unique things about this ccg and plenty of ccgs use an element based system. mtg wasn't even the first to use the element system (land cards) so by your logic mtg is a rip off. Simply not true. As far as getting 500 score, go to the silver arena with a very basic deck and you'll have it in 5 minutes. Also to have 119 wins in the game and only have 425 score.... did you even really look at the cards or did you just decide to use the starter deck.

I know what you mean Solo. This game is a crappy Magic copy. The only reason I'm playing it is because it's a part of the best of 2009 quest. Which, I'm 119 wins into the game (still don't have all the quests done, I'm 425/500 for the last quest) because you can only beat the level 1 AI consistently and that only gives you like 5 score per win. This game is just stupid. Well made? Sure, I'm not saying that, it's just a rip off.

This game sucks. Level 2 and the miracles the npc pulls off is amazing to watch. Turn 2 and they have 10 of each element and somehow played 15 cards.

Sesilu, that's from shard of wisdom, a very special case. It's not a bug. It's literally the only card that can target immaterial creatures. As far as dealing with shard of wisdom, I recommend the reflective shield, or the emerald shield. Or sundials. Or the upgraded fire shield. There's plenty of options.

@fenkosmo check the bazaar for cards, farm level 3s, 4s, 5s as well as the arena to get rare cards like weapons, shards, a couple creatures as well as a spell or two. To get nymphs you need to either get lucky at the oracle, or one of the many pvp events. For more information on pvp events, check the forums @ elementscommunity.org/forum/

To everyone complaining about the deck wrecking badge, you need only ask in chat and people will usually play with you. Failing that, consider joining a tournament http://elementscommunity.org/forum/pvp-tournaments/

If anyone is looking to complete the deck wrecking badge, ask in chat and see if anyone responds. If not just click pvp1 and wait about 2 minutes before exiting out and trying pvp1 again, you will get matches.

@GlowingLimes npc ability to use the cards available remains the same regardless of level, the only thing that changes are what cards are available to the npc. All this information is available on the wiki. As it is, the npc is actually really simple and wont come up with any convuled strategy, it will simply play what cards it can and use what creature abilities it can, which can be really annoying when making an Arena deck (shriekers will almost always be burrowed on the next turn as an example). The chances of losing against level 0 is quite low, the npc has to get a really good set of cards consistantly for quite a few turns and you have to either be using the starter deck (not recommended) or just a really bad deck.

Am I the only one that finds it weird that the prize money from the leagues gets smaller as you go from bronze to platinum?
