@dragoncrusader: Its hardly that imbalanced, not even comparable to the other stuff, like tyrant or MtG, which have much more imbalanced cards then anything here. Half of what you listed isn't even super great. And the ones that are, most people want a nerf of and will happen if zanz ever touches the game again. And even then, you don't need any of those cards to do well. Those are hardly the only relevant ones in pvp. Fire stalls take care of most of what you listed. And ghostmare can also deal with a fair few, as can quite a few rushes.

most stupid, imbalanced, badly designed cards in the game: 1. Shard of free win (Freedom) 2. darkness mana stealing creature 3. entropy quantum shaking sword 4. focusing shard 5. waiting water shard 6. aether invincibility shield 7. fire pillar 8. shard of increase HP when combined with heal full HP light card

@CaRmAgE: Scorpions stop doing meaningful damage when they die to. 6 damage isn't a whole lot for 3 turns. You could have just splashed poison and been more effective then that, considering you would take up 3 card slots instead of 6 to do the same poison damage, and quicker at that.
Also, I didn't say scorpions are always worse anywhere. But the majority of the time they are. The poison simply doesn't matter enough when frogs are going to end up winning you many more games due to all the other bonuses they have. There is a reason scorpions drop the win rate of adrenaline rush about 6% compared to frogs, along with over a turn slower. Not a huge difference, but it matters none the less.

@omegareaper7: that's a bold statement that frogs are always better than scorpions. If you're always up against decks with weak or no CC, then your claim would have merit. However, frogs don't do damage when they're dead (+1HP isn't that big of a difference), while scorpions deliver poison. Unless your opponents have ways to counteract poison, they will take poison damage for the rest of the match. Therefore, it depends more on your opponent's deck as far as which one is better. If I knew in advance that my opponent has strong CC, I would rather have scorpions on the field than frogs (if those were my choices).

Game feels extremely rigged sometimes = When you have one more bubble to fill in arena, you won't get ANY of the key card in your deck, insta loss

@nubatama: Frogs > scorpions. Scorpions do 4 +2 a round, while frogs do 12. A little bit of math: Scorpions do 4, 6, 8, 10, then 12. Takes 5 turns of one being out on the field to equal one frog. All the while, being easier to block and kill, not to mention costing one more. In that same amount of time, a single frog would have dealt you 60, while the scorpions dealt 40. 50% less damage.

And @Kauhana: Its not at all close to impossible to get electrum or make a better deck. You can even have 500 score in under an hour, which follows over 500 electrum as well. That is all from the start to mind you. And there is a mulligan, only happens once and you don't see it. It was made this way to prevent having to add a turn 0 to the game, hence slowing down the game, most notably pvp, even more.

@Dr_pizzazz: You really don't have to play for more then a couple hours in order to have cards to play well in a tournament. Most are pretty restricted. You get an ai3 grinder, check oracle daily for a little while, and you pretty much have everything you need.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Not a great game for someone who is at best mildly into card games. Re-configuring the entire deck when you realize what you picked has great combos, but another might be better and more to your play style, is nigh impossible due to electrum cost. I've found it to be highly frustrating, and I hate that there's not a mulligan if you get quanta-screwed.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I have to agree that it can be grindy. PvP tournaments look like fun (I've only been in 1 a couple years ago). You have to work a little to get cards for the tournaments in a "grinding" fashion.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@dodgerS1: If its unbeatable, then use it and win in plat all the time, oh wait.... @Onetonnemonkey The game is only as grindy as you make it, you could only play pvp and do just fine.

@grolox: Late game is turn 3 or 4, maybe 5 against a lot of decks due to rushes being common place and beating nearly everything out, taking out half the game is beyond frustrating. Also, 6 damage is 2 behind titan and morning star, but it also costs 2 less, so its damage starts earlier on average.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@omegareaper7: I disagree that discord is the hardest to deal with. It's mostly a matter of opinion, but I personally tend to run decks that try to win late game, so I'd much rather see an opponent play a Discord that I know is essentially useless in like 3 turns than an Arsenic, Titan, Fahrenheit, or Morning Star that I know is going to keep hitting me hard all game.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@CaRmAgE: Not every deck wants to run sanctuary. It isn't even that good in general. It won't be of great help against most decks regardless. And having to run 3 or 4 just to have a good chance of drawing it early further restricts it. Decks with discord will almost always have one in the first few turns because they run 3 or 4 usually. Not to mention, most decks don't run light pillars, so they won't be playing sanctuary earlier then turn 3 a majority of the time. Not useless against rainbow decks either, just not nearly as helpful. 6 damage is still very relevant. Steal and deflag don't matter much when it is very possible for them to play another one right after. Packing more pillars is also its own issue, because quanta flooding is a very real thing, and packing more pillars just for discord is just going to make your deck suboptimal vs EVERYTHING else, which is bad.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Discord has a huge weakness: play a Sanctuary, and Discord becomes completely useless. Also, Discord is useless against most Rainbow decks, because the scrambling of quanta tends to not affect them at all. This isn't even accounting for the standard ways of dealing with all weapons (Steals, Deflags, applying a status to a Voodoo Doll, etc.), so there are plenty of ways to deal with Discord (including packing more pillars if going mono).
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@Grolox: 3 turns is a lot of time to deny your opponent the ability to do anything. Eternity is comparable, yes, however it also requires a ton more quanta to use, and you still take damage and they can still save cards to make it rather useless. Trident is iffy at best, and pulverizer isn't going to be denying you that hard pretty much ever. Nothing really compares to how difficult discord is to deal with, short of eternity, but that has more issues then discord does.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@GeneralAnubis: The scrambler weapon (Discord) can be annoying to deal with, but it only really buys your opponent a few turns. Because after it hits you a few times you'll have some quantum in most elements, and its affect will just scatter all of it, meaning you're just as likely to have quantum from an element you don't care about convert back over to one you do. So yeah, you are at a disadvantage for a few turns, but most unique weapons are pretty good, that's kinda the point of them. Is being hit by Discord any worse than being reverse timed every turn by an Eternity, or just directly losing creatures from an Eagle Eye? Is it any worse than not having pillars at all because your opponent has a Trident or a Pulverizer? Having your quantum be messed up isn't fun, but every Element has a unique weapon, and most of them are just as annoying to deal with as Discord.

Quantum pillar is amazing. I love this basic idea of a card that randomly gives you three mana points in any random element. Why haven't any other TCG makers used this idea? It's genius! This is the biggest upside of digital games over actual card games.

It's always nice to see an online ccg that isn't pay to win. This is one of those rare games in the genre that is dependent on strategy, skill, and a bit of luck rather than your willingness to drop hundreds of dollars on it. Easily one of my favorite games.

not to be annojing, but there is still way more than that left, weekly tournaments for example :) and if you hate rainbows that much, just get some black holes, or any other counter, its not that hard ;)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@lolzors: No, arena is not all that is left. Pvp is still a very real thing with weekly tournaments, and several events such as war which is ongoing right now. Balance does matter, and is completely different in arena, hence why only dials and swallow do well in plat.
