This is a crappy game. When I mated the comp, it kept on playing, and when the comp stalemated my king it said it was mate. I just wasted 3 minutes of my life playing this

-very easy game, needs multiple difficulty levels.
-No "undo move" for beginner players or people who accidentally drop a piece on the wrong square.
-No multiplier function.
I gave it a 2/5 only because I REALLY like chess.

I don't know, but I've seen more comments that the game does not follow the game's rules and moves. I had one bug that my opponent was checkmated... while he wasn't. Other than that, castling just works by moving Ke1-g1 which is normal, promotion by either pawn to the back rank works, although only a Queen is available. It's perfectly playable, but the engine is very bad, that's all.

the rules of chess should allow me to promote to anything I like, except a pawn or king.
Usually, you'd choose a queen, but there are situations when you'd want a different choice.
For example, promoting to a queen may be stalemate, so I'll choose a rook. Promoting may fork opponents king and queen if I choose a knight, and so on.

I see people commenting "2/5 i cant move backwards and i dont know the pieces" seriously WTF? Its your problem if you cant identify which piece is which and you "cant move backwards" just because you dont know the rules. Just because you dont know how to play doesnt mean theres something wrong with the game

I just tried to capture en passant... it let me move my pawn to the empty square but it didn't capture the enemy pawn. Cost me a queen.

i really agree with Feldspar you people need to learn to play chess if this is as hard as all you say it is you really really dont need to be playing chess online or really any other game

Good flash chess, but the AI is rather bad. If I can play 1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 d6 (Philidor's Defence) 3.Bc4 Nf6? 4.Ng5 Qe7?! 5.Nxf7 b5?? 6.Bb3 Qxf7??? something is not right. Q vs B+N is easily won for the Queen.

the knight can always move through people, and the king and queen are in the right spot. You people really should learn how to actually play chess before you post stupid comments like that.

When I resterted the game froze. Plus the King and Queen are switched. And I think that a knight can move through people. 2/5

graphics for the king and queen seemed to be switched..... and i expect originality from a game. at least add power ups or something.

different people do different setups, so the game is obviously gonna look wrong to some people. Besides that it's a great game, 5/5. Although I wish you could set the difficulty

Set up = Correct, Castling = Works, Graphics = ... Could look better, but gets the game across. AI = Good enough to beat a horrible player, bad enough to be beatable. Overall = Working version of Chess, that's it. Fireworks would make it better... *copyrights chess with fireworks*

It's a pretty decent chess AI, but the market for any chess game at all is absolutely saturated, and this game is really bare-bones.
A version with tutorials, chess puzzles that use the challenge API, and ideally a multiplayer mode, might do OK.
