Under rating threshold (show) Agree with abyssoft's 1st comment but not the rest. I'm not a game developer, I'm "just" a "traditional" artist (that means I use paint, kids :-) but I know timed competitions can stimulate creativity, force innovation, and sometimes just provide the kick in the butt some of us creative types need to stop thinking and start working. Whether anyone likes the results or not is almost beside the point. Having said all that ... my response to the game was that the concept was too much "inside the box" to be interesting. Another 500 hours of coding won't change that.

You pretty much nailed it :) One learns a lot from these small projects, but most of all, it's FUN to create. Only uploaded it here for hosting.

Under rating threshold (show) Pretty fun, a few tweeks and a menu possibly an upgrade system and you would have an entire game right there.

Under rating threshold (show) Basic, but well polished and that solid gameplay and music keeps it interesting. Great use of theme.

Under rating threshold (show) Considering that the screen was full of enemy fire 5 sec's after I started I'd say needs balancing and some sort of progression 2/5 as is. oh and just because you can schlep something together in 3 hours doesn't me you should. all of these speed coding challenges just result in mediocre game/projects that if they had been given the proper time and attention would have been something great.
