I think you should give more points for multi-pops. And the game really lacks dynamics. Make the whole thing faster. The balloons all move at the same speed (that is a major flaw, if you ask me). Also, no explosion sound is present and I find popped balloons to look in a strange kind of way, really.
One more thing, the name. C'mon, I just can't believe you are "defending" the balloons that way. And nobody wants to play "balloon defender", think some "cruel penetrator robot", sounding.
I think with a little of work you can make this suitable for most of the players, except the babies, who you seem to be currently targeting.
BTW, the "pin up" upgrade has the wrong caption.

theres an error... when you hold your mouse on the Pin Up upgrade, info says "Gives you an extra life"

Okay. decent new game start. very basic shuer. additionnaly give a pause from the mouse click. I have had issues with clicking an item and getting the double response. ie. click continue and the level starts with my head shooting.
I would also suggets that any ballon that hits something, ie. the pin, pops. just a thought.
