o i would love to escape, i really would, but first you have to either but the ink in the bowl while holding it or PUT IT DOWN ON THE TABLE!!!!!

i have all the ink, the hand lens, the ink filler, the knife, the light buld and the bowl...i filled it with water like u guys all said and still cant put it on the table...anyone else got this problem...glitch or sumthin i guess

Beat it. To the comments below: I was able to grab all the ink at once, and close that drawer. You put the bowl in the sink, fill it, take it out, put it on the table, put in ink, take out ink, put ink in vials, empty bowl, repeat. It does seem like a lot of clicking I must admit. Also, I never really got how the arrows on the last puzzle worked, but with the 3 digits known I just went through the combos. In all, not bad game.
