Hey everyone, I will be releasing the game soon on Steam since I got some suggestions to put the game on there for further development. It will have a small price so that I can continue to work on it but I am excited to see where the game goes with all of your feedback!

Update 2.2.2 – Item Pickups
Hope everyone is having a good day. Here is another small update targeted towards helping you during a level which is the introduction of Item Pickups. There are also some Quality of Life changes as well.

What’s Changed:
- Heart Pickups – A heart will occasionally spawn at the position of an enemy right after they have been killed. If you move your Mouse over the heart, you will be granted a life!
- Token Pickups – A spinning coin will occasionally spawn at the position of an enemy right after they have been killed. If you move your Mouse over the spinning coin, you will be granted some tokens!

Quality of Life Improvements:
- Toggling between the Romaji Input Systems (Match vs Snap Match) can be done in the Settings Menu (Restart the level to avoid any unnecessary bugs)
- Toggling between Hepburn and Kunrei-Shiki Romanization can be done in the Settings Menu (Restart the level to avoid any unnecessary bugs)
- In Romaji Match when you submit what you typed, the input system will now look for an exact input matching from an enemy. For example, if I were to type KI and two enemies spawn with the words: KI and KIREI, the input system will prioritize shooting KI
- New Kongregate Statistic: Kana Blitz Enemies Killed

Update 2.2.1 – Quality of Life Improvements
Hi guys, here is a small update that hopefully fixes some bug reports I got. If by any chance you still run into them or you found new ones, please let me know by commenting or submitting a bug report. Thanks!

Bug Fixes:
- Fixed a bug where typing a double consonant character (っ) wouldn’t update the display for remaining characters correctly and did not result in a turret shooting the enemy.
- Fixed a bug that did not sync the Kongregate statistic Kana Typing Streak correctly within the game.
- Fixed a bug where a kana character’s pronunciation clip would play after pressing ‘Enter’ during a level (This actually could be a feature in the future)

UI Updates:
- Added a popup when you kill an enemy showing how many tokens you earned from killing that enemy
- Added a Kana Combo counter to show how many successful kana you typed in a row (This should be synced with the Kana Typing Streak statistic).
- Changed the Wave countdown to be in the middle of the screen to be more visible.

Update 2.2 – Introduction of Kanji

Hey everyone, a new update is here.

Major Changes:
- NEW GAME MODE: KANJI CORNER. Kanji is now being added to the game! The first level will be a customize-your-own level so you can practice specific kanji you are learning and the way you want it to be represented as kanji symbols can mean multiple things.

Minor Changes:
- You can now hold down Backspace to delete characters quickly in the Romaji Match Input System.
