Name: Satoru Yuuta
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Race: Elf
Personality: As an orphan, Satoru has had to be a very hard-worker for most of his life. He’s also grown a strong sense of self-discipline over the years. However, even though he’s managed to survive on his own for such a long amount of time, he usually tends to be quite modest.
Equipment: Satoru is known to carry a variety of items. His most notable possession is definitely his staff, which is made of pure woven bamboo. He also tends to carry a few throwing daggers wherever he goes. Inside the cave that he currently resides in, he keeps a variety of medicinal herbs in several dozen large chests. Each chest contains a different herb.
Appearance: As an elf, it’s practically unnecessary to say that Satoru’s most notable traits are his pointed ears, even if they’re a bit small compared to the ears of other elves. Satoru also happens to have piercing silverish eyes. His hair is a very dark brown, and he prefers to keep it somewhat short, although a bit of hair will occasionally cover his left eye. Most of his clothes are pretty torn up, and most of them have a bit of blood here and there. His most notable trait, however, is his scar. It starts in front of his left shoulder and ends near the right side of his chin. Now, what makes this scar interesting is the fact that instead of just being a straight line, it actually runs along the back of his neck before it actually connects the two endpoints.
History: I regret to inform you that Satoru’s history is not exactly the kind that most people would want to have. Sure, his first few years of life were okay; he lived in a nice, calm village in the middle of the forest, he had loving parents who weren’t exactly royalty, but still pretty high up. He had a loving older brother who would look out for him whenever their parents couldn’t. However, things went downhill when he reached the age of five. Things started out normal that day, and nobody would have expected a catastrophe as damaging as this one. You’re probably wondering what this catastrophe was. The answer is quite simple, actually… A meteor fell directly on Satoru’s home. He and his brother were spared since they happened to be playing a few kilometers away, but this meteor, despite the fact that it was pretty small, managed to wipe out the entire village.

The resulting shockwave also managed to reach the area that Satoru and his brother were playing in, and they were knocked back an entire kilometer. Although Satoru suffered no injuries, his brother wasn’t so fortunate; after being unconcious for a couple hours, the two of them woke up to realize that he had lost his left arm.

After the brother applied some medicinal herbs to the wound, they began to wander for a few hours. It wasn’t until sundown, however, that they managed to find something. What was that thing, you might ask? The answer was their father’s decapitated body, burnt to a crisp and full of debris. This image continues to haunt Satoru.

The two brothers continued to explore throughout the night until they happened to find a cave. They decided to take refuge in it, and due to Satoru’s unusual expertise with wood work, it was only a matter of weeks before it had two beds, some shelves, and many other useful wooden items.

The brothers managed to live together for a couple more years until the five-year anniversary of their village’s tragedy. On that day, apparently, a cursed angel found the two brothers in their sleep. They were having a good night’s sleep, too, until the angel let out a horrifying screech and attacked. The angel went for Satoru first, but his brother managed to jump in the way, sacrificing his life in order to save his brother. However, this only lasted for so long, and after just a couple minutes, the angel attacked Satoru once again. The young boy managed to evade the angel for a while, but it eventually managed to capture him. It was just about to crush his head and neck when the sun rose. For some reason, as soon as the sun’s beams hit the angel, it let out another screech and disintegrated. However, this still left the boy with a large scar around his neck.

As of today, Satoru continues to reside in the same cave. His past continues to haunt him, but chances are the time for him to move on will be coming up very soon.

Name: Taijii Abici
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Personality: Although Taijii isn’t exactly the most outgoing individual, he isn’t really the kind of person that keeps every little detail about him a secret, either. There are some exceptions, but he’s still not afraid to meet new people most of the time. He usually seems to be in a somewhat cheerful mood, and overall, he has a positive outlook on life. The only thing that really stands out about his personality is his artistic passion; his entire life just seems to revolve around the arts, whether it be music, painting, sculpting, or anything else that allows him to express himself.
Equipment: If there’s any time somebody sees Taijii without a paintbrush or a flute, it would be in a dream. After all, he tends to carry at least one of these two items wherever he goes, just in case he gets any inspirations.
Appearance: As mentioned above, Taijii is always carrying a brush or a flute with him. His flute is kept in a long holster as if it were a gun. If he carries his paintbrush, which happens to be a thin brush for the more delicate strokes, he keeps it on top of his ear like a student might do with a pencil. His eyes are a dark-blue while his hair, which he keeps in a style known as curtain hair, happens to be a mix of bronze and yellow-orange. His clothes vary like most people’s clothes do, but his favorite outfit is a simple white t-shirt, a pair of navy-blue jeans, and a pair of goggles, which he keeps above his eyes unless he’s painting.
Biography: Although one may imply Taijii is just a prodigy in terms of art based on his description, the only reason he has such skills in terms of art is because of a disorder that could end his life at any time. He was actually born with epilepsy, but the type he currently has continues to leave scientists baffled. His epileptic seizures started when he was just a few years old. His parents had gone next door to borrow a cup of sugar, but when they returned, they saw their son on the floor, screaming in pain as his arms and legs flailed in every direction. His flails were so violent, they actually caused him to break his left leg. Now, obviously, his parents called an ambulance, and he was picked up and driven to the hospital in a matter of minutes.

This seizure left him in a coma for three weeks, and his heart actually stopped five times during that period. His doctor was just about to put him down, thinking there was nothing he could do, when he suddenly woke up. When they asked what had happened to him, his exact words were, “The lights painted a masterpiece for me.”

The next day, the doctor left the room for a few hours to check on another patient, but he returned to see him painting. Nobody knows HOW he got the paint or the easel, but that doesn’t matter right now. What DOES matter was the fact that once he had finished, the painting rivaled the art of Leonardo Da Vinci himself.

Taijii was released a few weeks later, only to have another seizure. He was sent right back to the hospital, but he woke up the next day. This time, after the doctor had left him, he returned to see the boy writing something. It turned out to be a song. The doctor was amazed by the lyrics alone; the lyrics and the notes that were used were simply amazing. When asked to sing the song, the doctor was shocked to see that his patient was able to sing it in perfect tune.

Research was done on the boy’s seizures for the next five months. Whenever he had a seizure, scientists examined how he flailed, what kinds of sounds he made, and things like that. If he was screaming while flailing violently, then the next day, they’d find that he would paint a masterpiece. If he held his head while he sobbed, however, they found that he would play an instrument or write a song the following day.

Eventually, Taijii’s seizures were categorized into two different types: Symphonic Epilepsy and Vivid Epilepsy. He was released after each diagnosis and given medication for each type, and for the next few years, things seemed to be normal.

Taijii’s parents received alarming news on his 13th birthday, however. In the middle of his party, the house received a phone call. His father answered it, and it was only a matter of minutes before what the scientist he was talking to over the phone told him caused him to fall on his knees and break out in tears. Everyone asked him what was wrong, and his reply completely destroyed everyone’s festive moods. It turns out that while Taijii’s condition caused him to be skilled with just about anything concerning the arts, the seizures were taking a toll on his body, and scientists theorized that he wouldn’t live to be any older than 21.

Four years have passed since that phone call, and even though only has another four years left, Taijii still has a very optimistic personality. When his parents asked why he was so happy when he knew he was doomed, he simply replied that being in a bad mood would ruin his art. He continues to have seizures, although his medications keep them to a minimum. Fortunately, these medications have no effect on his artistic “visions”, so he continues to create masterpieces whenever he has the time.
