Welcome to *Pirates Glory*
In this game, every player starts with a single ship in the age of Gunpowder!
* It is a hybrid strategy game in terms of time as it is both a real time strategy and a turn based strategy. The hybrid nature of the game greatly helps in gameplay.
* The game features many things to do. Like establishing a trading empire or becoming a pesky pirate. If you wish more, you can choose which country to serve or become the ruler (King/Queen) of your country.
* Meanwhile, you can search for treasures or perhaps bury your own. There are 21 ports and each one has its own economy as well as a player Governors. Not to mention the various governors's daughters you can meet them or even marry!
* More advanced players can create a hideout. With a hideout, among other things, you can build a bank (operate your own bank, issue loans etc) or perhaps a goldsmith (smelt gold coins into gold bars and sell them for profit at the market).
* All these and many more are all engulfed by powerful voodoo magic. Through the usage of voodoo curses you can affect yours and everyone else's destiny. To which extend, it is entirely your own choice.

Pirates Glory is a game that stimulates your brain. You will need to use it to play it. If you are looking for a no-brainer game, Pirates Glory is not for you.
Here are the basic guidelines to keep in mind:
* Create your character by choosing a name, gender, nationality, background and location.
*TUTORIALS*

* Once you enter the game, click continue. Then follow the TUTORIALS presented by the quartermaster at the left hand menu. These will guide you through the basics of the game.
* Almost every text is a link. Holding your mouse above a link, will pop up extra information.
* The left hand menu is relative to the port you are. Each port has its own Market, Tavern, Court, etc
* You earn 1 turn per 10 minutes. These turns are saved to a pool that can hold up to 200 (400 for the first days). Spend your turns wisely.
* Keep playing every day, PG is a game where your progress is saved, even if you login after a long time. Although if you keep away a long time from the game, other players will most probably loot you.

Big learning curve, a lot of options, menus. But after understanding the basic options a whole new world of possibilities opens up. For sure not a game for anyone. But if it happens to be the game for you. It's one of the most interesting games on kongregate. You will spend years playing it.
