To answer the ultimate riddle you have to work backwards.
So start with 30, the bellboy took two, and gave 1 to each of the 3 guys.
30-2=28, 28-3=25

There are only 2 F's in the sentence. There are 4 f's. As the question is written the answer should be 2.

Agreed that 7 is flawed. It is not logical for all the children to necessarily be boys.
Agreed with Tahnan. If my calc teacher had seen that question, he would have agreed.
As for the "f" verses "F" technicality, that's just looking to tear the quiz apart. Logically, you are wrong, since either way the writer would not be able to win. You'd say the same thing if it were written the opposite.
For the last riddle:
The money is followed incorrectly. And I see that a few have answered before me, so I shall refrain from answering myself.
I passed this quiz on the first run-through. Sadly enough, it really wasn't all it could have been.
