Salva il mondo in questo nuovo platform run-and-gun che sfida la gravità! In un futuro prossimo, gli scienziati della Terra hanno aperto inavvertitamente un portale verso un'altra dimensione. Mostri terrificanti sono arrivati nel nostro mondo e l'umanità è fuggita dal pianeta. Entra in campo con Shockbot, un automa da combattimento avanzato, inviato per eliminare l'invasione aliena. In Shockbot attraverserai foreste infestate, caverne oscure, una zona industriale e un paesaggio cyberpunk onirico, usando il tuo fidato blaster e il potente Shock Attack per riconquistare il pianeta. Alla fine del viaggio, affronterai il minaccioso Ultramech in un'epica battaglia contro il boss per il destino del mondo! Come si gioca
* A/Freccia sinistra per andare a sinistra. * D/Freccia destra per andare a destra. * W o Freccia su per mirare in alto. * S o Freccia giù per abbassarsi. * Invio/Z/K per sparare. * Barra spaziatrice/J/X per saltare. * P/Esc per mettere in pausa. * L o C per attivare Shock Attack. Carica lo Shockmeter distruggendo nemici e raccogliendo Shock Core lasciati. Quando lo Shockmeter è pieno, puoi eseguire uno Shock Attack che distrugge tutti i nemici sullo schermo con un bonus punteggio x3.

The latest update removes the Haste power-up on the first level, as per player feedback. Also fixed a bug where high scores were calculated incorrectly after finishing the campaign.

Why does every dev need to reinvent the control scheme? These controls make it almost unplayable for me.
Seriously, WASD and arrows for movement, JKL and ZXC (or something close to it) for actions.

You don't usually get the space jump that early...
That's fair. I wanted to reward the player for being more explorative as opposed to speed running through the level, but maybe I could have paced the introduction a bit better. I expect some players to miss it on their first run, and no area in the first level is ability-gated by double jump (that comes a bit later), but having double jump early does help you power through it a bit faster. In retrospect, it might have been better to have ability power-ups be more persistent like in a true Metroidvania, but Shockbot is level-based so I decided to just have the ability reset for every level.

What eoyount said was a good idea. I would go with the following changes:
- Allow for left and right handed configurations
- WASD, J - Jump, K - Fire, L - Shock
- Arrow keys, X - Jump, Z - Fire, C - Shock
- Escape Key as well as P for pause menu
- Display controls in pause menu
I tried W for jump and I for look up with J as fire for a bit and that seemed pretty good, but there wasn't an opposite hand equivalent that worked well. Also because of double jump requiring not direction, but action (two in this case), I think jump on the other hand opposite movement makes sense.
