Good idea, and good thing it's hard, refreshing even.
Back in my days you would have to memorize the levels, to this day i have muscle memory of some games.
But you could make more levels so it doesnt get super hard on that upside down V thats right :D

As others have said it's a little too difficult right off the bat, but I don't find the fact that the game has such difficulty unfair, it's the way in which you use difficulty that sets apart games like this from the indie hits. Just because this is not the 80s anymore, doesn't mean we can't have challenges; it's kids like the one that commented below that the AAA studios try to cater to and flood the industry with a load of bollocks. We don't need easier games, we need well-designed games. If you made this into a game with the same thirst for challenge, but used sparingly, then it would be a moderately successful game on sites like this, I'm sure, but I also think it would fare better with a more appealing, retro look to the game than the lines and space background. Furthermore, the text is just insulting, I think if you're going to do that, you're going to have to make it smarter, wittier or remove it completely in-favor of being a more generally-appealing game.

Way too hard. You have to realize that we're not in the 80's anymore when the games were really hard. At least add a difficulty setting. Easy, normal, hard and impossible. How about that? This could have been a great little game.

It feels like someone who is good at snake would be a pro at this..
