Decent concept...I'm on board with that but it goes from 'grandma with a walker' pace to 'Wiley Coyote with an ACME rocket' pace almost instantly.

that's the point :P
as for the highscore system, I haven't gotten around to integrating any of kongregate's APIs
at the moment all you have is a display of your current high score for the session
