every time I reach a baracade, I go into slow motion but my life continues to decrease at the same rate, so when I come out of slow mo, I'm moving at a crawl and nearly dead. is this on purpose?

Nice game, hamstrung by poor controls. The mouse button up is bad enough, but this DESPERATELY needs a hot key for the boost.
