I actually quite liked it! But, when you leave the safe area, you move WAY too slow, in my opinion.
If you would move faster it would be too easy. I prefer to make it too hard than too easy :)

I found the dieing quite annoying, it doesn't give you any more lives than a single one. A life amount of three would do me, plus, the monsters need to move either at the same pace or slower than you, otherwise the odds are stacked up against me, and I don't like unstacking things. Music and better stuff would be good... a shop maybe? With some things like speed and lives?
