seems rather pointless... no objective, no reward, no upgrades

Enemies should react to being shot and start to chase you: right now the only enemies that can deal damage to you are those placed right around a corner because the others are helplessly killed from afar.
Holding enter should lock the direction you're shooting while allowing movement.
Stairs that go up and down look the same, which can lead to confusion.
There doesn't seem to be a point as nor enemies nor the hero scale up in power and no goal has been presented.
tl;dr: the game needs to be polished. 2/5

Looks like it has a lot of potential. Needs items, weapons, more enemies, smarter enemies, a story, and it would be decent.
