A positive and heart-warming message is always appreciated. I really don't know where evgo came off with her comment. I didn't feel it was pushy, in fact this world needs more wise influences like the message in this game. This game reminds me that video games in general are a very wide-encompassing tool that can be used to help people.

I really like the visual style of it.
The music is fitting.
Took me a bit to figure out what to do.
The fluidity of movement could use a little polishing, but overall I think it's good.

Interesting conception, especially the way the writing works at the beginning, nice idea in having the child "learn" to read, it would have been good to see more of that throughout the game, having the child grow and develop as she overcomes various difficulties.

Outside of that, I would have put in some sort of auto-save function, it's annoying to have to continually restart the game from the beginning. Also, you may not want to state your theme so BLATANTLY at the beginning... people dislike being told what the moral of a game is.

Very fair critique. at present I'm not updating the game, I'm just getting an understanding of how people feel about the game. This piece was the result of a short coursework I did at uni and I'll be taking on board everyone's helpful comments. Thanks for playing Afalstein :)

I thought that this was a fun game and that there should be an auto save because I can not get past the "Forest of Courage" but even in the begining it was fun. My other problem was that for me, it was really slow. Overall, 2.5/5
