The grenade blows up before it gets to the bunker even when I do it like in the walkthrough.

Really a pretty fun game. My only very strong objection is your blatantly racist turban-wearing "terrorist" that you have to become to get the bomb to get rid of the policeman. There were a few other things that were sort of borderline, but that one is really just plain offensive. Shows your ignorance a bit.
