This game would be better if some of the jumps were just a little less pixel-perfect, and if the strength of throwing could be controlled as well as the angle (I just want to gently toss the torch onto the next platform, not fling it over and into the pit).

It's unnecessarily difficult. For some players, there is a ending with "The End" screen.
