It felt really rewarding to reach lvl 3. But then I stopped because the spawning is broken as the others mention.

As mentioned by ricolh, the spawning at level 3 is really bad. The rocket spawns directly before a rock, and the player has just 1/2 second to move to the right and brake.
You can find the same problem at the spawning point of level 4 and level 5

You could add a tutorial. The game is nice, and breaking the borders of the levels is a really great idea. The gameboy style is great too.

There is also space for some upgrades or temporaly power ups, like a higher firerate and a bigger fuel tank or a shield that prevents the player from dieing directly. Otherwise, there is also space for some score multiplyer powerups.

The fuel tanks shouldn't be destroyable, even if it is a logical step when shooting at them. But the game itself is hard enough (still at level 5 and 45 levels to the end). The fuel tanks shield some enemies, and there is no really way to avoid a collision without destroying the tanks.
