I'm not sure why you find it necessary to overcomplicate the simple game. Instead of a simple 'click and drop' the puzzle into place, you went as far as to enforce the players to hold the piece, drag it across the game and (quickly) double click to drop the piece. It's nothing but redundant and tedious.
