Flash End-of-Life, Ruffle Integration!
This game runs on Adobe Flash. Effective Jan. 2021, Adobe began blocking its flash player's use everywhere. Kongregate is now partnering with Ruffle to make some of our Flash content playable again. Please note: If you are using Ruffle, badges will not work normally. In order to earn a badge in a Flash game, you will need to complete the badge, then submit a screenshot (showing both proof of completion and your username) as a missing badge report using the report missing achievement option. Also, please join us in the Kongregate Discord for all the latest Kongregate news!

The backgrounds are all painful to look at.
Several of the fields need to have a maximum enforced...it is very easy to spill past the amount of on-screen room a given field gets. If you even need that many fields...yeesh!

Wow, thanks for all the constructive comments. I haven't been checking on it much. I am not, however, an expert, and can't do much with history yet. I have learned to make better backgrounds (go to my profile and click on The Miscellaneous Game link) and am learning as fast as I can. I haven't had much time to learn Flash, but am hoping to have some time this summer. If I make a new game, I'll be sure to put some math in it. ;) This will be the first place I post games. Hope you stay with me and enjoy my future games as well.

Try parsing the history texts using the players variable. It should remove the formatting differences between the text and the user-entered variables.

The only thing I can see wrong with this game so far is the problem with the background and the text entry at the beginning which seems to have very little impact on the game play. I would take out a few of the fields at the beginning and set up some solid backgrounds as well. I am however going to show this to my father who is a math teacher and may appreciate its value even more than I.

i would suggest having solid background too,the color background adds nothing that is needed as it is. I am predicting that the algebra will quickly become to difficult for even an average audience if it progresses past the simple level of the tutorial, but your trying to make a game that will make people smarter so I congratulate the effort.
