I've always wondered how these horror-type game protagonists always explore these abandoned houses, hospitals, dark forests, etc. to the very end. Either they have too much courage or too much curiosity.

Very interesting. I have a suggestion. It's actually something that should be in every point and click adventure, yet only very few have it. When the player doubleclicks the character should either run there or (in case the player clicks on a door or something similar that leads to the next screen) just enter the next screen directly. This first little trailer was already very atmospheric I would have liked to see a simple puzzle, but it did set the mood. I think I'll keep an eye on this project.

A crime has been committed and I'm probably in mortal danger in a dark and eerie house. Best wander around on my own for a bit.

I love the music and sound effects. One quibble: if this be truly 1891, a simple 'Please, hurry' (not 'hurry up') would feel more appropriate, particularly from a University man in writing.
