Deskripsi

This game is based on some ideas that I have about non-violent protest in the age of the Internet. We have seen several non-violent democracy movements over the last ten years. Some have been successful, while others seem to have failed. DICTATORS AND DEMONSTRATORS seeks to recreate a non-violent democracy movement through a card and hex based game system. This is not an easy game to learn, so please take the time to play the tutorial. Once you start playing the game, there are lots of hints and instructions to quickly help you master the game. Best of luck.

Cara Bermain

This game uses the same engine as THE JANSUI RESTORATION WAR and ROBOTS AND REBELS. If you have played those games, skip the tutorial

The map looks a lot like Vancouver.

I've got Major Victories in around 150-200 turns (when I haven't screwed up and been taken down to the holding cells :P ). Seems like after 200 turns it's extremely difficult to get better than a Solid Victory, which is pretty realistic given the scenario. 5/5 and favourited.

To Africacrossgames, very nice indeed! I've really liked the series so far, but this one seriously kicks ass :D One of my favourite things about the series has been that as I play the game, I get into the scenario. With Dictators and Demonstrators there've been times it's got pretty nerve-wracking, for instance when all my Protesters are melting away in front of Riot Police, and I *know* there's a SWAT Team coming up I can't block :) And Martial Law was just plain mean the first time I saw it :D It's a bit of a shame that I think the average Kong player simply isn't going to appreciate what you've achieved - a fairly minimalist strategy/wargame card game with the atmosphere of an old-school board wargame (yes, I'm an old fart). I always thought card games were for kiddies, but Asymmetric Warfare definitely changed my mind, and I've since discovered other card games that are quite fascinating. Thank you for that, and thank you for your games, too.

The Tutorial is really simple. If you've played any card game before you can pretty much skip most of it and just read the unique stuff (like supply). --- Don't block cards that will have no effect on you (for example, if you don't have any Protesters, you can't lose any). --- If you lose all of your supply hexes, March has no effect (a hex must be in your supply to take it over). --- The coloured number in the top right of a card is how many cards you get to choose from if you discard (if it's a 1 you obviously don't get a choice). --- ***Pay attention to Intelligence*** (the red 'I' above Communications. It can make the difference between winning and losing. --- This isn't a particularly easy game to win. It *is* possible to win first time out, but it's hard to consistently win.
