Branch ialah permainan kasual yang mengambil inspirasi daripada genre strategi masa nyata hardcore. Anda berperanan sebagai pelindung kepada pokok kosmik agung, pencipta bintang di seluruh alam semesta. Pokok ini sedang diserang oleh bangsa robot tanpa akal, yang ingin memanfaatkan tenaga pokok dengan menawan setiap cabang batang penghasil debunga. Anda mesti menggunakan kuasa debunga untuk menghidupkan semula setiap cabang yang diserang atau robot akan memusnahkan segalanya dan tiada lagi bintang akan lahir. Tanpa pokok ini, alam semesta akan menjadi kosong – keseimbangan kewujudan kini di tangan anda. Branch memperkenalkan sistem interaksi yang mudah dengan akibat yang kompleks. Pemain mengawal ketinggian kawasan yang ditawan untuk membentuk dan mengawal barisan hadapan. Anda mesti sentiasa melaraskan aliran debunga anda untuk menyerang, bertahan dan mengumpul sumber dalam pertarungan epik untuk menyelamatkan alam semesta!

Cara Bermain

Kawal kamera menggunakan WASD dan klik kanan-tarik tetikus. Tarik lajur anda dengan klik-tarik. Aliran anda akan bergerak ke bawah. Laraskan lajur anda untuk mengawal aliran. Klik mesin untuk menyerangnya dengan tornado - gunakan debunga anda untuk menguatkan tornado.

Branch was developed by a group of danish students, in just one month. We are planning to develop the game further, aiming for a release on iPad / iPhone later this year.

The control of the levels of your territory is frustratingly overcomplicated. It'd be better to have more of a snap-to-levels arrangement, with something like 10 different levels. As it is it's just frustrating to try and tailor the height of terrain.

Don't get it... The tutorial skipped step 10 really quickly, and the back buttons only go back in odd numbers... from 11 to 9 to 7. So I don't know what I'm meant to do to progress.

good, but still i dont get how i cant use all my power on one tornado on lvl1, which i'm stuck on

Now I've had a play with it, I think it's an interesting game (despite the tutorial being reaaaally sketchy). My cursor disappeared half way through level 3 though, and I can't get it back at all. I still managed to beat the game with incredible ease. The problem I can see is, to make the game harder, the only thing you can really do is speed up the AI's actions. Which will only make it more difficult for a human user because of their inability to use the controls as well... This doesn't make for a better end user experience, as there isn't anymore or any less strategy involved, it would be merely frustrating. To really make this game shine would require something more to the strategy than staggering stairs to create a good flow. Something like special hexagons/resources/bases/exploitable bonus'... All of those would increase the level of STRATEGY, and therefore the end user enjoyment of the game. Hope you read this, and take some of it onboard mate. Nice job otherwise. 3/5 atm.
