I liked the "rock, paper, scissors" but not that I couldn't cut the rope with a knife.

I loved it. I understood it as using concepts rather than physical objects (the door is made of the 4 elements!) so I didn't find it weird to manipulate shapes like that or to get scissors out of paper and rock.
