Good concept. Add enemies, the ability to move left and right, some fast-paced music, a mute button FOR the music, high-score system, MAYBE a shop to buy upgrades. Add these and you have yourself a game my friend.

I like it. Make the ship be able to move right, left, up, and down. Make monsters come, more the farther you are. Make almost level type things so you can buy stuff. Or maybe have your ship level up and go into a shop to buy stuff (level by distance and by monsters killed). Make weapons cost money/experience to buy, but not score. Also you should have some ammo limits on the gun, and make the laser be able to kill more then one monster/ship (unlike the rocket) and be able to shoot a path through walls.
If you made some of those changes I would like it a lot more. Right now its 2/5.
