Is there a trick to get a mouse that's on the square between the dog and spikes? I don't get it

I think this game deserves better than the >3 rating it has. While it is not the most original of games, very few games are. This game is reasonably challenging on some of the later levels and I quite enjoyed it. The main thing it needs is the ability to use arrow keys in addition to mouse. 4/5
