This looks like the canvas for a wonderful game, adding a scoring system for each exploration and the ability to "land" on planets once over them to collect bonuses would be a great addition

You should change the movement of the ship from driving like a car to friction-less drifting like in other spaceship games.
I considered this, but it would make it very hard to control, and frustrating for the player. Thanks for the ideas though!

Dear Dev, it is important to change the focus once you click inside the game screen so your main page doesn't move up and down while playing.
It is now fixed! (7-15-16)
