For the ones who are wondering, if you jump the first puzzle and finish the game without rescuring "jack", the game still goes to the cutscene with the cookie and jack saved.

Did it several times. Last 2 to check what will happen if I wait 60 mins or if I cheat and escape with solving only last 2 puzzles (possbbile as I've already knew solutions to them without clues).
