This game runs on Adobe Flash. Effective Jan. 2021, Adobe began blocking its flash player's use everywhere. Kongregate is now partnering with Ruffle to make some of our Flash content playable again. Please note: If you are using Ruffle, badges will not work normally. In order to earn a badge in a Flash game, you will need to complete the badge, then submit a screenshot (showing both proof of completion and your username) as a missing badge report using the report missing achievement option. There are clues throughout the game that tells you, the main one being a newspaper in the attic (which I've posted about in the past) that says "Boy, 7, feared drowned after being swept to sea" That boy is your character's brother, Jack. As for "the dumb man who won't let me watch tv", that "dumb man" as you put it is your character's father who is depressed over the loss of his son and "copes" by mindlessly watching tv all day just as the mother "copes" by isolating herself from the rest of her family.
Some other details to mention: 1. This game take place on the main character's (Jamie) birthday 2. Jack (your brother) likes to draw, which you will find out when you gain access to his room. 3. Jack mostly draws himself, his sister and his family (though he draws himself as superboy), the drawing in the attic was made by Jack as well.

I really liked the attic puzzle! Such a calm game, too. 5/5~
