My only complaint is that the mummy is REALLY bad at catching the jewel and that makes the whole process tedious.

It goes from fairly easy and straight forward, allowing you to learn the various techniques that you need for later levels. Some may be a bit twitchy, but I found that simply clicking the anchors (instead of the joints) was easy and sufficient. After a while, the puzzles become truly interesting.

Any reason the Mummy needs the jewels to touch his "jewels" to complete the level?

For level 15, there is a better solution. You were right when you broke the second block on the bottom, but you should also break the first block on top. In doing so, the second block on top will fall over at an angle and create a downwards ramp. Now all you need to do is put the gem through the portal.

Stopped at the levels that require you to FAST move your move and click on a tiny moving dot in time. Not fun, not original, the jokes aren't that funny, and the game has some annoying parts.
