my review: pro's +1 for rather cute and halfway decent character and monster design. +3 for high jumping and forgiving monster stomping. +2 for good controls with little sliding. con's -3 for lacking a storyline, -1 for returning to the end of the the level. your score is is 1, but I thought it was pretty good for a first try. add a coherent story with a few endings, characters beyond our main hero and equipment or upgrades, and we could have very nice game on our hands. For bonus points, use the hearts as a health bar rather than lives, and spice up the main heros clothing. a few different types of monsters might be nice, but the last three things are optional. As is, it was good enough to keep my attention, which is more then I can say for some games. It shows some potential, and I hope you keep making these games. The world can always use a few more choose-your-own-ending games.

An okay Mario clone. I liked the low-gravity jump, and the forgiving enemy collision. I didn't like the amount of offscreen jumping, and the single jump height. The last level's number got obscured by the cloud background. Those looking for either "adventure" or "story" will be very disappointed.

I played it for 3 minutes and already found a few things. 1... not much of story I write. Right off the bat, I am trying to figure that out. 2... Jumping on enemies aren't clear. You can jump and hit them from almost the side and it's not clear if that's possible all the time. Feels floaty too. 3... When you die, you move back to the beginning of the stage, after losing 1 heart. I'm a little confused on that. Doesn't a heart mean that you should stay in place and go temporarily invincible? Finally... no tutorial. Sure the buttons are simple, but there should be something explaining controls.
