i notice the reporters and the police go hand in hand, one catches you then the other catches up and its an endless cycle, much like real life. was this planned or just random chance?

Not bad. It's actually kinda fun to suck money out of suckers! The reporters a big pain when you're jailed though. Once your popularity hits 0%, you might as well call it a day.
