CTRL as a fire key is just bad design. The rest is okay, though.

yes! not a bad try! throw in some power ups, or an upgrade system, a bit more enemy variety, maybe mix up what enemies show up where, and something crucial for this particular type of shooter, some scenery obstacles, and you'll have a winner. I really like this for what it is: an initial showing. :)
