Fight against other aliens in space! Your ship will automatically fire at enemies and comets, then you only have to concentrate on navigation! Try to get improvements, or it'll be harder and harder!

EDIT: I'd also suggest simply making the health bar green,maybe after waves you can choose a small alien in a small ship that assists in shooting enemies, perhaps as a damage prone ally/merc that pops up/can be paid for in the shop, or it could be purchased within the shop and it would not take damage, but orbit around your ship and help you shoot. I'd suggest to add a "p" to pause. You'd be surprised how thankful your players would be. Meteors go too fast, As you go through the game they should speed up to that point instead of starting off like that, really if you put this into Space Battle 2, you'd get a lot of plays.

Not bad. Good work. I'd zoom out the screen so it isn't as close in. There should be waves and a way to purchase repairs, the health orbs should be green, not red. Unless you're implying that it is what makes those razor ship enemies red, which does not have much explanation to it for others and would be less valued if you had to explain it. Nice game, though. You should make a Space Battle 2. Oh, and at the beginning you'd be able to "customize" the parts of your ship.
