Descrição
Fighter command needs your assistance! The Battle of Britain is about to begin and you have been called upon to manage the British defences. Organise your men, build planes, check intelligence reports and send out your Spitfires to defend the country against the threat of German invasion.
Como jogar
Every day you get a chance to rearrange your strategy.
- Check your intelligence reports and place planes to defend where you think attacks are likely to come.
- Allocate men to different jobs.
- Choose which planes you'd like to focus on building in the factory screen. Spitfires are more expensive than Hurricanes but are better at taking down the enemy.
- When you're done fiddling with your strategy, hit start day to view a simulation of the day's events and get a report on how you did.
- To win, shoot down 300 German planes.
- If you lose two or more cities it's game over and you'll have to rethink your strategy.

It's a fun game with a lot of potential. I think the design is really difficult because it's supposed to SEEM hard and desperate. Winning should feel like limping across the finish line. The Battle of Britain wasn't about Britain bravely massacring the Luftwaffe as soon as they crossed the Channel, it was about holding the country together while the RAF did whatever they could.
Here's my suggestions:
-Make the combat math more transparent(how much better are Spitfires?)
-Instead of ramping up the difficulty through random events and losing an inordinate amount of planes, just have a lot more German planes attack as the game goes on
-Someone else suggested more recruiters. Again, I'd balance this out with more German attacks
Random Idea: Ace Pilots
You'd have to track an individual pilot, but perhaps if a pilot survived X battles he turns into an Ace. You could either keep him on as a more effective pilot, or ground him to bolster recruiting efforts.

Great game, only major complaint I have is that the minus (-) button appears next to every resource even when there are 0 units allocated there.
And some comments for those that don't know:
The battle sequences are predetermined before it actually shows it. Planes blowing up after the battle is seemingly over is just a minor glitch, but the end result is what is supposed to happen, that plane was supposed to go down.
Second, you don't have to click over and over to add and subtract, holding down the mouse button on them works too.
