Flash End-of-Life, Ruffle Integration!
This game runs on Adobe Flash. Effective Jan. 2021, Adobe began blocking its flash player's use everywhere. Kongregate is now partnering with Ruffle to make some of our Flash content playable again. Please note: If you are using Ruffle, badges will not work normally. In order to earn a badge in a Flash game, you will need to complete the badge, then submit a screenshot (showing both proof of completion and your username) as a missing badge report using the report missing achievement option. Also, please join us in the Kongregate Discord for all the latest Kongregate news!

Descrição
Walkinator is a nifty little sandbox toy which started out as a school project. I was so pleased with how it came out, that I decided to share it with everyone.
Como jogar
Generate a random creature, or create one with the given tools(explained in ingame instructions). Either way, Walkinator will try to find the best possible way to animate your creature using a simulated evolution process with surprising results.
Be sure to read the instructions ingame for descriptions of all the tools, tips on how to make higher performing creatures, and a brief explanation on how Walkinator works.
Unsure where to start? Try clicking on the generate random creature button, clicking okay, then clicking on the generate animation button. Wait until the performance level is around 200 or greater(the higher the better), then click on view generation. You can then go back to the editor and tweak your randomly generated creature to your heart's content, or start a brand new one.

Genetic Algorithms?!?! Mein Gott! You have a seriously bright future!
My complements on sharing this, as a game it is not necessarily compelling, and it has a lot of basic flaws (nodes falling below the boundary, stretching of "bones" in instances) , but considering the sheer number of lines of code it takes to create the A.I. process, I can easily overlook that as cumulative error. . . Anyway, this is a fantastic display of ability. Congratulations :)
