good start for a game engine, but your character falls a little slow, like instead of falling, you just float. but other than that, everything else seems to be working good

this is only first level so there will be more with full game. i pushed myself to program this and publish a workable demo in 1 day.
in full version there will be 4-6 levels with 4 unlockable stages and 2 unlockable characters, for a total for 4 playable.

i'm giving you 5/5 just because the game isn't that bad as peaple are saying. My suggestions: if you wanna copy sprites, that's fine, just don't copy the entire gameplay experience: give the character different weapons, like axe/bow/etc.
