Having played the sequel first, I missed the map SOOO much. Still, seeing the first game made the second all that more enjoyable, and both as a pair.

At first this game is dumb. Then you realize it's not. There's a lot here if you give it a chance.

Played it all the way through. Great game. Only request would be to have the option to only have to take out new blocks once. Having everything reset every time you enter the level took the longest.

Follow-up comment after finishing the game. That section in the beginning with the down-left arrow is brutal! You have to take 2 forced hits and can only have 3 hearts at that point. All the extra hearts you get after that feel useless because you get more and more ways to remove fire. I would've enjoyed if the boss had another phase when he got lower on HP or something, the difficulty was fairly low and he felt like a HP sponge. It would also be neat to reach something (easter egg, credits screen, etc.) that requires the final upgrade. Very interesting to see a top-down metroidvania. Keep improving and keep it up!
